Once upon a time, there was a money changer who opened his shop in the coin market and began to buy and sell.

One day, on his way home from his shop, carrying a bag of money, he passed a gang of thieves. The thieves looked at the bag of money with envy, but for a moment they could think of no good way. Then one of them, a cunning fellow, boasted to his comrades, "I have found a way to get the bag of money out of his hand."

'What is it? His friends did not believe it.

'You'll see! The fellow looked sure of himself, and followed the money-dealer.

The money merchant went home, put his money bag on the table, and prepared to wash his hands and go to church. "I am going to church," he said to the maid. "Bring me a basin of water to wash my hands." While hurrying to the toilet to pee. The maid did as he had told her, and went to fetch the water carefully, but in a moment of carelessness she left the door open, and this gave the thief the opportunity to break in easily, take the bag of money which was lying on the table, and run away at once.

He returned to his companions and told the story of the theft with a great deal of pride.

When his companions heard this, they clapped their lips in praise and said, "By Allah Almighty God, there is no denying that thou art the wisest and most capable of men. This was particularly well done, and not something anyone could have done. But there must be an uproar among the money merchants now. When the merchant came out of the latrine and found the purse missing, he would blame the maid and beat her up. So, you do this thing is not perfect! You will be a real man if you can save the maid from suspicion and abuse."

"If it is Allah's will, I will save that girl from being wronged."

After the swindler finished, he left his friends and ran back to the door of the money merchant.

As he listened, the maid wept miserably at the lash of her master. He couldn't wait and knocked hard at the door. At once he heard the merchant's voice: "Who is knocking?"

"I am, the servant of the house next to your shop." The liar lied casually.

The money merchant opened the door and asked, "What do you want to see me about?"

"Our master sends his regards. He said, "How could you be so careless? How could you throw this bag of money in front of the shop and leave without picking it up?" It would have been a great loss if someone else had taken it away, but fortunately our master found it and put it away for you." Then the swindler took out his money bag.

When the merchant saw the bag, he was very surprised and muttered, "This is my bag of money!"

"Swear to Allah, you must give our master a receipt so that I can give you the money." The swindler pretended to be calm, "Otherwise, I'm afraid the master will suspect that I haven't paid. Please write a receipt and seal it."

Sure enough, the money dealer went home to write the receipt.

At this moment, the swindler took the money bag, turned and fled without a trace. So the maid was cleared of her wrongdoing, and the purse came to the swindler.
