The past decade, many celebrities decided to release their own line of cosmetics but only a few managed to dominate the beauty industry. Which are these top 10 makeup brands that everyone is talking about and which celebrity is currently reigning the beauty world? Let's find out!

#10 KESHA ROSE BEAUTY

Starting at number 10, it's Kesha Rose Beauty. In November 2019, the "Tik Tok" singer announced her own cosmetics line in partnership with indie makeup brand Hipdot. The packaging was striking and the products seemed to perform very well, as Kesha showed us on her collaboration with famous beauty influencer James Charles. However, since the debut release (and mind you, that was a year ago), she hasn't put out any more products, and this is why Kesha Rose Beauty is sitting at the bottom of the list.

#9 FLOWER BEAUTY

Flower Beauty is a very easy-breezy makeup brand, launched by the beloved American actress, Drew Barrymore. The whole line is cruelty free and it seems like the brand is targeted to the "woman on the go" who could also glam it up a little bit with a few tweaks. The products are very affordable, which is a great thing, but overall it seems like a generic brand that is not bringing anything new to the table, and the packaging is underwhelming.

#8 VICTORIA BECKHAM BEAUTY

At number 8, we are moving from the affordable Flower Beauty, to Victoria Beckham's luxurious makeup brand. In 2019 the former Spice Girl launched her own brand which is (no pun intended) an extremely POSH line of cosmetics. The products perform beautifully and the packaging is effortlessly chick. The only reason this celebrity brand is low on the list is because all of the products are unreasonably expensive.

#7 KKW BEAUTY

I know this is going to be a controversial placing, which is really on theme with the owner of the brand; Kim Kardashian West. In 2017, Kim K introduced us to her own beauty line but the launch was followed by mixed reviews. The overall aesthetic of the brand is very minimalistic and slick but the products are very hit or miss. However, the formula of the lip liners is definitely redeeming.

#6 IMAN COSMETICS

In 1994, the 70's Supermodel Iman launched her own cosmetics line with the goal to make the beauty industry more inclusive towards women of colour. Just like Iman herself, the packaging is fine and sophisticated and the products perform beautifully. This is a stunning, yet affordable, black-owned brand that the media and the influencers are sleeping on and it shows.

#5 FLORENCE BY MILLS

In 2019, Millie Bobby Brown, following her success as Eleven in Netflix science fiction series "Stranger Things", launched her own skin-care and makeup brand. The brand is very affordable, as it is targeted mostly to teenagers, and probably available at your local drug store. Not only the pricing is cute but also the packaging is adorable. However, her products are definitely not for everybody or for every occasion.

#4 RARE BEAUTY

This year might have been difficult for all of us but, at least, the former Disney child star Selena Gomez, blessed us with Rare Beauty. Selena launched in summer of 2020 her own cosmetics line, with the goal to "embrace our inner beauty". If you like to go for "natural" yet impactful looks, this is the brand for you. The creme blushes are definitely the stars of the line and who doesn't love a jet black, brush-tip liquid liner?

#3 KYLIE COSMETICS

We are moving to the big hitters now. In 2015, the ultimate media personality, Kylie Jenner, founded her own cosmetics company; Kylie Cosmetics. Capitalising on the myth around her lips, she launched her now famous Kylie Lip Kits and took over the world. Since then, some of the launches did not manage to be up to part with the initial launch but this year Kylie really came through with the new releases.

#2 HAUS LABORATORIES

In 2019, American singer Lady Gaga launched her own cruelty-free and vegan cosmetics brand "Haus of Labs" and everyone went crazy. The aesthetic of the brand is true to LG's current style, which is more slick and sophisticated with an otherworldly twist. All of the products in this line perform greatly but the black liquid eyeliner is definitely winning all the Grammys of the make up world.

#1 FENTY BEAUTY

Images from: hypebae.com and fashionista.com

I mean, you knew it was coming. In 2017 Rihanna shook the beauty world by introducing us to Fenty Beauty. With a release of 40 foundation shades from the get-go, she set a new standard in the beauty industry showing that makeup should be for every man and woman of every shade, culture and race. Fenty Beauty products are high-performing, they come in beautiful packaging and are definitely a staple in every makeup kit. This is why Fenty Beauty is sitting at the top of this list.

Maybe release some new music now?

So, what do you think? Do you agree with this ranking? Is there any celebrity makeup brand out there that I forgot to add to the list? Please share my article and maaaaaayyyybeeeeee tip me so I can but some Fenty highlighters.
