Hi everyone!

If you want to have long hair, you have to take good care of your hair. Here are 6 tips on how to grow hair faster.

1. Protect hair from physical stressors - What I mean by this is to protect your hair from brushing too hard, especially brushing the hair while dry, as this can lead to breakage. When you have breakage, it can be very hard to achieve your hair goals. Having hairstyles that are too tight can cause friction and pull. So I would suggest using soft hair ties. You should also switch up your hairstyle so that you don't put pressure on the same hair spot. Another way to protect your hair is by brushing it from the tips up starting from the root at the end of your hair and then moving your way up. You should always change your look and add volume to your hair. As well as when washing your hair, always make sure to wash gently so that you don't get tangles.

2. Keep it moisturized - If your trying to grow your hair longer, the hair on your head is the driest thing on your body. If you want it to grow longer you have to keep it moisturized. Dry hair can turn brittle and hair breaks. When you have open or lifted cuticles the moisture can escape easier so avoid chemical hair styling. Another way to protect your hair would be to use conditioner on your hair. Everyone's hair is different so not every conditioner can do the trick, you have to find a conditioner that works for you. Also applying oil to your hair can help as well.

3. Wear protective hairstyles - Wearing protective hairstyles from time to time can definitely protect your hair and make it grow faster. So I would recommend hairstyles like cornrows, ponytails, flat twists and box braids. When doing protective hairstyles, switch these styles every two weeks and take breaks between them. Everyone's hair is different so protective hairstyles can be a way to grow hair.

4. Give heat styling a break - When you daily heat style your hair, your most likely damage it. If you are looking to grow and strengthen your hair, you cannot use heat styling tools. Your hair needs a break from heat-styling tools. So not applying heat to it all the time can make a big difference in growing your hair. When your heat styling, it can work by breaking down the hydrogen bonds in your hair. I learned if you heat style your hair too much, the hair will lose moisture. Also, it's always good to use a heat protectant when heat-styling your hair. whether you're using a blow dryer or irons.

5. Get frequent trims - When you trim your hair, you're allowing the hair at the top to grow more because you are making room for your hair. The only way to eliminate frays is to trim regularly. Breakage, of course, will get in the way of your length goals.

6. Take a break from bleaching - Bleaching can cause damage to your hair, causing breakage and making it harder for hair to grow the way you want it. If you want to colour or bleach your hair I would suggest using darker colours during growing out your hair. Also going to the salon to get demi or semi-permanent colours won't cause unnecessary damage to your hair.

As a whole, long hair requires a lot of care to maintain its beauty, and I hope that you will find these tips helpful in maintaining the beauty of your long hair. Feel free to leave any comments or other tips in the comments section if you have any. Thank you for reading :)
