Learning to play the piano may be a satisfying activity, whether your goal is to play professionally or to amaze your friends and family at home. Before you can become the next Mozart, you must understand the fundamentals of keyboarding, such as how to sit at a keyboard correctly and what the individual keys are. You can learn to play your favorite songs on the piano with enough practice, and you can even start writing some of your compositions. In this blog, we will discuss how to learn this Musical Instruments professionally.

1. Sit on the Keyboard Bench In the Middle Of Your Keyboard

You can maintain appropriate posture while playing thanks to the bench's height-adjustable knobs and the absence of back support. A keyboard bench can be purchased online for as little as $20. Try to locate a short bench or stool you can use if a keyboard bench is unavailable.

2. Ensure Your Posture is Correct While Playing the Keyboard

Your palms should hang off the keyboard, and your fingertips should be on the white keys. Hold your hands at ease and gently bend your fingers down so that your hands form a "C" shape. The height of your elbows should be equal to that of the keyboard. Maintain a flat ground with your feet. If necessary, adjust the keyboard bench.

3. Learn The Musical Alphabet

The musical alphabet consists of seven notes: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. On the white keyboard keys, these notes are played in the correct order, from left to right. The musical alphabet resumes at A after the G keys. One of the seven notes should be written on each strip of tape as you mark the keyboard's keys.

Search for a trio of three black keys on the keyboard to identify one of the A keys. The white key between the second and third black keys is the A key. In music notation, whole, half, and quarter notes are notated and played differently. Four beats of whole notes, which are represented by empty circles, are played. Half notes are played for two beats and are represented by empty circles with upward-extending arms on the staff. Moreover, quarter notes played for one beat are notated as filled-in circles with upward-extending arms.

Try playing a C full note as a warm-up exercise. Use the pad of your finger to push down on the white C key firmly. Keep the key pressed while counting to four. Next, let go of the key. Play a half-E if you can. Locate and hold down the white E key for two beats.

Keyboard scales are groupings of notes that are played together. One of the most common scales is the C Major scale. To play the C Major scale, find the note C on the keyboard (C is the first white key to the left of a group of two black keys) and play it. Now play the next white key to the right, note D, and then the next white key over, note E, and continue playing the next white key in the row until you reach note B (the last note before the next C). You’ve just played the C Major scale.

4. Practice Daily to Become Professional in It

Try to set aside at least 30 minutes daily to hone your talents. Try playing more complicated chords and scales while working on memorizing the locations of all the notes on the keyboard. To get help practicing in person, look for "free keyboard lessons" online or consider hiring a qualified keyboard instructor.
