How To Get Clearer Skin FAST!

The following is the routine that has given me skin that I can be happy with. I will be sharing the things I have found most effective alongside some of the products I find really work.

Most Importantly...

You've heard it over and over again, because it really works. Your skin and the rest of your body requires a sufficient amount of water to stay hydrated throughout the day, especially on those hot summer days.

Make sure to drink around (on average) 90oz a day.

This may seem hard at first, but an easy way to start is drinking a glass right when you wake up, before every meal, and before you go to sleep.

PLEASE... Take off your makeup!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water All-in-1 Cleanser

I cannot stress enough how important it is to take off your makeup before bed properly. Nobody wants clogged pores!

Leaving your makeup on can cause irritation and breakouts.

My favourite method of removing my makeup is by far Micellar water. I find that it removes and and all types of makeup (waterproof too!).

Find the right cleanser.

Bioderma Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel for Combination/Oily Skin

When trying to find the right cleanser, the one thing you want to make sure of is that it doesn't contain harsh chemicals. No matter how much you think you skin can take, the skin on your face is extremely sensitive.

Intense products will only cause irritation and drying of the skin.

Tone it up!

Burt's Bees Rosewater Toner

Some may neglect this item from their skin care routine, but trust me, it makes a difference!

Toner locks in all the product you've used while closing/protecting your pores from new bacteria.

TIP: Put your toner in a spray bottle for easy, even, and refreshing application.

BONUS: It's a great wake-me-up in the morning!

Protect & Moisturize

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Lotion Sunscreen - SPF 30

Wrinkles, sun spots, and peeling burns are only a few of the many things the sun can cause when your skin is not properly protected.

During the summer months I switch out my regular moisturizer for this sunscreen that is specific for your face.

Sunscreen is so important for your overall health, so make sure to be using it on any vulnerable skin.

P.S. This stuff smells amazing!

Clean Eating

Believe it or not, but one of the main reasons your skin isn't the way you want it to be is the food that you're eating.

Greasy junk food may be delicious, but your body hates it and will lash back.

I know changing your diet is tough, but by eliminating major foods that you know are bad for you, and replacing them with some veggies or fruit is definitely a great start!

Zzz...

Another thing that can distract from already clear skin is baggy dark circles under your eyes.

This is pretty self explanatory, but get enough sleep! Preferably 7-8 hours.

You'll feel and look better just by regulating your sleeping patterns.

TIP: If sleep is a really hard one for you, something that I sometimes do that makes a bit of a difference is placing cold spoons under my eyes in the morning.

Trust me!

Seriously, if you follow these steps, or at least a few of them, you will see results!

Just think logically about how your body functions, and how you want to help it keep functioning the way it's supposed to.

All of these things will benefit your physical and mental well-being.
