If you want more concealer, makeup artists say this is the best concealer

Until I started writing about beauty a few years ago, I always thought concealers were universal -- they worked on anything you wanted to cover up, whether it was covering up blemishes, even skin textures, or dealing with discoloration.  While many are versatile, some are best for lightening dark circles, others are better for fighting acne, and more.

So if you want a concealer that really does it all, the beauty cosmetic artist told me to opt for cream concealer.  Celebrity make-up artist Emma White Tell said: "Cream concealers are often denser and have a wider coverage than liquid concealers."  Makeup artist Geeta Bass agrees, adding that since they tend to have more pigment and a thicker texture, they're great for covering scars, dark spots and blemishes, but they can also be removed and used under the eyes or to highlight the cheekbones or jawbone.

And it works for almost every skin tone.  In fact, Tell recommends cream concealer for dry skin types.  But she adds that if you have oily skin, you may want to check the ingredient list, as some ingredients made with shea butter or avocado oil may not be suitable for your skin.

When it comes to applying concealer, every makeup artist I've spoken to recommends using a brush.  Make-up artist Jamie Dorman said: "I like to apply concealer with a stiff brush and give it a dab to completely cover the blemish."  "If I need to mix the edges, I'll use a small plush eye brush.  I love Rephr Brush 21 and Rephr Brush 13."  Sometimes if needed, Tell uses the heat from her fingertips to melt the product into the skin, helping it blend perfectly into foundation or bare skin.

If you're doing spot treatments, Bass suggests tapping directly on spots with a small brush.  Then, use your fingers or a beauty blender to blend the edges for a seamless finish.  "To apply concealer to your eyes or highlights, apply it on the back of your hand and heat it up with your fingers.  This creates a purer consistency without wrinkles or lines."  Bass added.

Both Bass and Turle recommend Cle de Peau's concealer.  "Cle de Peau is the Holy Grail of concealer!"  It coats the skin well and doesn't dry it out, "Bass says.  "It has the perfect texture and works well on both oily and dry skin.  It can be cut off and made into a lightweight concealer that works great for dark circles."

I can tell what I missed in applying the first layer -- everything Frozen touches glows with a subtle sheen that makes the missing look dull by comparison. I put two more on my face and chest -- yes, because I'm obsessed with the consciousness-raising smoothie, but also because my skin keeps absorbing it. Even after the last layer, there's no residue left.

My skin feels softer; The combination of the hyaluronic acid complex with aloe vera is due to excellent hydration benefits. As an added bonus, the gelatinous slush also contains plenty of lemon extract to brighten skin tone.

I've only ever used powdery skin moisturizer -- the cold sensation is like a small dose of cryotherapy that counteracts the redness I sometimes wake up with, but without it, it safely melts back into its original texture. Tip for when the heat wave hits: I also like to apply it to my face and all parts of my body.

Go to Walmart and buy your $16 summer moisturizer savior.
