Hey! Hey!

I have the most shocking news that not too many people know. It might dawn you to know that you hair is like the number one cause to your acne/pimple problems!

Read on...

School on Acne:

A lot of people go on treating their pimple problems and acne issues without knowing the primary causes (DON'T YOU DARE SAY STRESS! ) and what acne actually is. If only we knew it would be easier to totally eliminate the problem in the first first first case!

Acne, also known as acne vulgaris, is a long-term skin disease that occurs when hair follicles are clogged with dead skin cells and oil from the skin.

It is characterized by blackheads or whiteheads, pimples, oily skin, and possible scarring. It primarily affects areas of the skin with a relatively high number of oil glands, including the face, upper part of the chest, and back.

The resulting appearance can lead to anxiety, reduced self-esteem and, in extreme cases, depression or thoughts of suicide or even murder! (And we all know how that's true!)

It's like you want to pop the bloody pimple, but that person who just walked by with clear skin must die!!!

Genetics is thought to be the primary cause of acne in 80% of the cases. The role of diet and cigarette smoking is unclear, and neither cleanliness nor exposure to sunlight appear to play a part.

In both sexes, hormones called androgens appear to be part of the underlying mechanism, by causing increased production of sebum. Another frequent factor is excessive growth of the bacterium Propionibacterium acnes, which is normally present on the skin.

Dayyymn those are some pretty long and hard words we will probably never say out loud--not just because we don't know how to pronounce them (wink).

The severity of acne vulgaris can be classified as mild, moderate, or severe (like curry!):

Mild acne is classically defined by the presence of clogged skin follicles (known as comedones) limited to the face with occasional inflammatory lesions.

Moderate severity acne is said to occur when a higher number of inflammatory papules and pustules occur on the face compared to mild cases of acne and are found on the trunk of the body.

Severe acne is said to occur when nodules (the painful 'bumps' lying under the skin) are the characteristic facial lesions and involvement of the trunk is extensive.

How acne-crushing.

  • Many treatment options for acne are available, including lifestyle changes, medications, and medical procedures.
  • Eating fewer simple carbohydrates such as sugar may help.
  • Treatments applied directly to the affected skin, such as azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid, are commonly used.
  • Antibiotics and retinoids are available in formulations that are applied to the skin and taken by mouth for the treatment of acne.

However, resistance to antibiotics may develop as a result of antibiotic therapy.

Several types of birth control pills help against acne in women. (I don't recommend this for several long term reasons.)

Isotretinoin pills are usually reserved for severe acne due to greater potential side effects.

Of course, I am HIGHLY against using products, basically because products have you using them on tendency base. Which means you are going to have to spend lots of money on a product your whole life and without it you skin looks like... well... not the best.

Which is why I am for my article brands-->> "Momma told me the best things in life are natural and homemade!"

Natural remedies are proven to have lasting effects and you don't have to over use them.

Annnnyway, I wouldn't want to bore you further and peg a thoughtful question as to just how the people in the past survived longer and better with all the NATURAL resources as a cure for almost everything...??

(oops I just did!)

That is all I have for now.

A little reminder: Acne isn't something hideous, if anything it has taught us how to treat our skin!!

Right!

Xx Keep up with me for more articles on homemade and natural, hair and body secrets {tips}. I will be posting more articles on that!

And of course, this was an article of mine posted on weheartit!
