Fall is my favorite time of the year next to summer. I'm a late summer baby and a Virgo, so summer is ending when I'm born and fall is around the corner. Now that we've reached Fall, it is time for you to change up your body butter routine. Now, if you're not using body butter. You should. It is much better than lotion as it is much more moisturizing than lotion and lasts longer than lotion.

Here are some other benefits on why you should use body butter but not just any body butter. Chemical free body butter is better than chemical inducing body butters. Conventional body-care products can be overloaded with harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, or parabens, preservatives, micro-beads and other dubious ingredients. Chemical free, natural skin care products on the other hand, such as natural body butters contain detergent free, high-end moisturizing oils, skin-safe essential oils (when necessary) and nourishing butters that moisturize, nurture and protect your skin in a gentle way.

Natural body butters are thicker and richer than body creams and they are suitable for sensitive and dry skin. They usually contain high amount of natural butters. On the high end you get Cupuacu butters and on the low end, you get shea butter, cooca butter and mango butter used in body butters. There are also natural oils where on the high end you get almond, vitamin e and boboa oil. On the lower end you get jojoba, grapeseed or coconut to protect your skin. What is in it is determined by the company.

So what are the benefits of body butter and why should you choose it over lotion?

1) You can use it as an all over body moisturizer: Unlike lotion which has to be applied several times a day, body butters only need to be applied once a day, twice if you take a shower twice a day to moisturize your skin. Body butters, as explained above, has key ingredients in it that, especially if made on the high-end side, keep your skin moisturized all day. The best time to put on is right after you come out of the shower when your skin is still wet.

2) Can be used to remove make up: Yes, you read that correctly! Instead of using harsh chemicals to remove your make up, Apply a tiny bit of body butter to a moisten cotton pad and enjoy how easy it is to dissolve the day's makeup from your skin. It can even remove waterproof mascara but avoid getting it in your eye.

3) Good for your hair: Some people have put body butter into their hair to help it grow. When they aren't using it to help grow their hair, they are using it to give it some silk and shine. A natural body butter can be used for dry and stressed hair. Take a small amount of the butter let it melt from the warmth of your hand before applying to the tip of your hair and working your way up. Just wash it with warm water, dry it and enjoy what some call silky and fragrant hair.

4) Saves Your Cuticles: Instead of spending lots of money on unnecessary cuticle products, all you need is a good body butter.Simply massage a tiny amount into each cuticle and admire your newly scented and hydrated fingertips.

5) Great for fading away stretch marks and scars. The components of a natural body butter are all high in nutritious vitamins and fatty acids, which help to nourish and revitalize your skin and improve healthy skin complexion. Rub on your sketch marks and scars continuously and see the marks begin to disappear or fade. A high-end body butter will do better than a lower-end body butter such as what we described above but both work. One just works faster than the other.

So this fall, don't suffer from dry skin. Moisturize your skin with body butter, the highest quality you can find. Your skin deserves it.
