As an African American woman we all had that struggling season to grow our beautiful hair. I have 5 tips to change our struggling haircare seasons into fun filled beautiful everyday hair that will change your attitude quickly lets dive in.

1.) Know Your Hair

Knowing your hair and what type of products your hair loves is very essential to your hair type. You can't just pick any product for your hair and expect your hair to grow from that specific hair product. Speculate your hair, get to know your hair. I've been natural since 2011 and my hair care journey has been good and than I had some bad days. I took the time to know my hair, and the likes as well as the dislikes and once I found out what my hair loves it's been a healthy journey from there. It's ok to be a product junky, because if not how else would you find out what your hair loves? take the time and experience with your hair trust me your hair will thank you later.

2.) Weekly Wash Routines

Washing your hair weekly is key for beautiful longer healthier hair, make a weekly routine on washing your hair by picking one day out of the week to show your locs some love. Washing weekly is excellent because your washing out the build-up while showing your scalp some weekly love. And for 4c hair like mines, it can use some weekly love because our hair tends to dry up very quickly and easily and if were not wearing protective styles than trust me you wanna show your hair that TLC.

3.) Hair Masks

Hair mask, Hair mask, Hair mask, I can't keep pressing the issue about using hair masks. Hair masks will grow your hair almost like magic hair loves to eat and when I say eat hair is protein it can take almost anything in your pantry. Well not everything lol but hair loves to eat healthy. Here are some healthy foods hair loves and you can add it into your hair mask. Avocados

Avocados is a rich source of protein, amino acids, and vitamins what it does it'll soothe the scalp helping to promote long, strong, healthier hair. Honey, my hair love, love, loves honey it's my hair best friend this golden sweet luscious liquid is naturally moisturizing, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory it makes a great mask for overly dry hair.

Coconut milk

Coconut milk is one as well it contains healthy protein and essential fats which would boost that hair growth in no time.

Yogurt

Yogurt is excellent to use too, you can actually use yogurt for the base of your hair mask while adding in your favorite oils, and butters. Yogurt cleanses, nourishes, and strengthen the hair follicles. Try deep conditioning while adding heat to these good nutritious foods on your hair you will see a difference in your locs immediately and your hair will tell you Hello Baby I'm back.

4.) Drinking Water

Drinking lots of water is essential to natural healthy hair. We all know that 70% of our bodies makes up water drink plenty of it. Staying hydrated and healthy is the way our bodies can react to natural hair growth I know everyone is familiar with the saying you are what you eat that because you really are what you eat and trust me your hair will tell on you the entire time. Some people may not know this but yes hair will tell if your dehydrated, if your eating healthy or not, and if your getting that well enough amount of sleep. So if your not drinking plenty of water on your hair care journey do so.

5.) Scalp Massages

According to research, scalp massages increases hair thickness by stretching the cells of hair follicles This, in turn, stimulates the follicles to produce thicker hair. It's also thought that a scalp massage may help dilate blood vessels beneath the skin, thereby encouraging hair growth. The invert method is great as well just lay upside down either on your bed or couch and just massage your scalp for 5-10 mins everyday with hair growing oils, your hair will be thicker, longer, and luscious.

So once you are in beast mode, and now you have knowledge on your hair and the kind of products it likes and dislikes. You have finally reached your haircare journey goal. Their are tons of YouTube videos, Internet research topics, and easy basic knowledge on growing 4c hair.
