Everyone knows that feeling of being in a rush to get ready in the morning, rushing to get on your makeup and into your latest fashionable outfit before making it to work; One that leaves you with an epic makeup mess, glitter all over your dress shirt, and a trail of lipstick across the floor.

The next time you find yourself wanting to skip make up altogether because It's just too much effort, consider these 10 tips for looking gorgeous without the hassle. Some are quick fixes such as sticking some clear jelly or face paint on before you head out into public and others require some more thought like changing up your hair style every day or using bobby pins as clips.

Depending on how much time you want to invest on yourself, these tricks should help you be ready to go faster in the morning and last through to the end of a long work day. And don't forget, there's always a home remedy or two that can get you out of any hairy situation.

1. Use hair gel as eyeliner.

This is a good one that works for men and women. Minimize the smudges you get when you rub your eyelids with your fingers and look fresh all day by using a little hair gel as eyeliner. Just dab some on the back of your finger and run it through the skin where your eyelashes meet your upper lid. This also helps lock in any eye shadow so you avoid any creasing when faced with a hot flash throughout the day.

2. Older eyes are more beautiful.

We all know that looking younger means you'll look prettier. But there are a few tricks that will help you benefit from a few extra years on your face as well. A little dab of skin toner before applying eye makeup will keep the skin around your eyes supple and young looking. Also, try to use lighter shades of makeup for more youthful eyes and go for heavy coverage if you're wanting to look older.

3. Once a day mascara can be a problem.

I know this is in fact true since I'm an avid user. But clumping lashes are a big no-no for anyone who wants to look gorgeous all day long. There's a trick to avoid that and make your mascara as effective as possible. Apply two coats of mascara and curl your lashes before applying the first coat. Then, let the first coat dry completely before applying the second coat. This will keep clumps from forming, allowing you to look gorgeous until the very end of your day.

4. Paint your lips white.

If you're a woman who needs to look professional on the go, consider this trick to get that beautiful, fresh lipsticked look without the hassle of actually putting on lipstick. Use clear face paint or white cream paint and blend it into your lips with a Q tip or at least some kind of makeup brush. Keep it as natural or dramatic as you like because no one will know any different.

5. Use bobby pins as clips.

For women with long hair, bobby pins are great for everyday wear but they can be used in other practical ways too. Use bobby pins to hold up your hair, or clip some of your bangs back in place while working on a project in the kitchen. You can also use bobby pins to secure loose clothing items like a skirt or button collar and avoid the hassle of big buttons or zippers.

6. Use clear face paint as blusher.

This trick is great for women who are trying to look fresh without looking old on those days when your skin needs extra help waking up. This is one of my favorites because it just works! Before you put on that full face of makeup, dab some clear face paint right above your cheekbone where you want to apply blush, and then brush it onto the area with a makeup brush. It makes your skin look fresh and even better looking than ever.

7. Cut a hole in your lipstick.

This one is great for men who need to look good on the go. Take a small drinking straw and cut a slit right through the center of your lipstick, creating a bigger hole so you can use it easily without having to carry around an extra tube of chapstick or something similar. Just make sure it's not too big so you don't get that sticky lip effect.

8. Use makeup removing wipes to take off your eyeshadow.

I'm also an avid user of makeup removing wipes, so I love this idea. If you're wearing eyeshadow that day and want to change it up when you get to work, use the same makeup remover wipes you use to clean your face at the end of the day to remove your eyeshadow. It's a quick and easy way to switch up your look for a lot less time, money and hassle.

9. Use hair straightener as curler.

Once again, women can use this trick too if they want that big daytime hair style. Curling your hair when it's straight with a flat iron or curling irons can be extremely time consuming. But this trick allows you to curl your hair while it is still wet so you don't have to worry about using hot tools or not being able to get that perfect look.

10. Use clear jelly as primer.

We've all had a beauty emergency where our eyeshadow ended up all over our clothes and made it impossible to go to work in the morning. Well, I know of a way you can avoid that problem. Instead of worrying about smearing your makeup all over your outfit, just apply some clear jelly to the back of your hand before applying your eyeshadow so there's no mess on the front of your face or on the front side of your clothes.

With these tricks, you will be able to look great all day long, even on your worst days of the month. Now you only need to remember that last step: avoid those hot flashes and wear your sunglasses indoors. And don't forget to try some of these tricks if you're having problems with your skin.
