Words of Love

The American-Canadian folk rock vocal group the Mamas & the Papas performed from 1965 to 1968, with a brief reunion in 1971. The group came together in New York City with five members—John Phillips, Cass Elliot, Michelle Phillips, and Canadian Denny Doherty. The songwriter and leader of the group was John Phillips. The group released five albums and 17 singles. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
