Will Young Thug Have to Give Up All His Drip?

The State Has Taken Cars and Jewelry from Jeffrey Williams. Will they be returned?

The way that the agents have descended upon Young Thug’s property is reminiscent of the FBI’s seizures of former President Donald Trump’s items at Mar-a-Lago. The difference is that the ex-pres had classified documents and Young Thug had to offer trinkets and some money and a couple of cars.

The real problem here is if Young Thug is proven guilty in a court of law. Objective laws must protect him and his property from the government obtaining his jewelry, a Porsche, a Corvette, and just under $150,000 in cash.

The Eighth Amendment shields government officials from seizing all of his items despite his current confinement since May. Young Thug has to contend with jail life while also being concerned about his vehicles and baubles.

Firearms are a different beast altogether. If he had guns to cripple sons, then things could get sticky for him. He earned the cash and jewels, no question about it. But did he obtain those weapons legally? How much is he willing to snitch to get time knocked off and ready for freedom?

With his RICO case weighing down on his head, Thugger should be focused on feeding his money hungry lawyer, Brian Steel, enough dollars to last him during this stint.

Steel’s already gone on the defensive by invoking the Eighth Amendment. He’s serious about this case because of its high profile. The rapper has sold millions of copies and streams of his work. For him not to be producing material by being locked behind bars presents a precarious situation for him.

Like the jewels themselves, the cars are attention grabbers and inhibit even the staunchest critic of Young Thug to say that he should deserve all of his symbols of wealth to be in the hands of the State.

Statism “functions” only in a totally unfree society. If a semi-free country like the United States can observe, protect, and defend its citizens, then we should see a day when the rise of gangs and other criminal organizations are eliminated.

Hitting Young Thug and his crew with the RICO only serves as a slight way for the government to process those who violate the law.

Young Thug should be brought before a judge and a jury of his peers. He should have the opportunity to say his guilt or innocence. He should be able to stand by his word and preach the gospel of being a celebrity being challenged by the law enforcement.

If he is indeed guilty, let him be punished fully. Let little provisions beyond clothing, two hots, and a cot be his destiny for however long the judge sentences him.

The cars and jewelry go only so far. Gang relations require that the participants have to sacrifice in order to be in a gang. Why would anyone want this? To initiate force against an upstanding citizen is what mostly constitutes being a gang member. It may be the only thing. While the industry of music provided a way for Thug to reap the benefits of a different, legal game, he will have to contemplate dismantling and reorganizing his entire apparatus.

As his lawyer battles to get his stuff back, Thug sits in jail. With all of the supporters who have shown an outpouring of respect and affirmations, he sits in jail. Know that he is still an American who can trust his lawyer to fight for him to the letter of the law.

When this seizure case is over, Young Thug should come out of this stronger and wiser. He, convicted or not, should learn from all of this and make better decisions for the future. He can at least get his dignity back if not the jewels and cars.
