Many of us have heard about the song WAP by Cardi B and Meg The Stallion. Some say it is provocative while others say it is empowering to women. In this article, we are going to compare and contrast WAP to other songs in the Rap genre.

In my opinion, this song is way more degrading and inappropriate than WAP.

This song is literally talking in detail about sex. "Let's call the boys, let's run a train" This is referring to taking advantage of a young woman and having her passed around like a doll.

Another song that is degrading to women is Thotiana by Blueface.

In the line "Bust down, Thotiana (Bust down, Thotiana)" It is talking about a girl twerking also known as shaking her butt. Then in the line "Speed it up, now slow that shit down, on the gang" It is talking about multiple people watching a girl shake her butt. Now the setting is not necssarilly stated. If it were in the setting of a strip club then for me, I would still be on the fence about it. Yes, I understand if being a stripper is something you enjoy and want to do to make a little extra cash then I say go right ahead.

Back That Azz Up by Juvenille

Another song that is degrading to women is Back That Azz Up by Juvenille.

This probably on of the most song known to man. In the line "You'se a fine motherf**ker, won't you back that azz up" first of all, you dont have to say their a fine motherf**ker. There is other ways to word it. People want to get mad at Cardi B and Meg The Stallion for saying "Wet A*s Pu**y" yet Juvinille says "Knock the pu**y out yeah, get them out yeah". It is comlpetly fine for a male rapper to say this yet if a female rapper says somthing similar it is a scandle.

So in conclusion when you compair WAP by Cardi B and Meg The Stallion to Slob On my Knob by Three3 Six6 Mafia, Thotiana by Blueface, Back That Azz Up by Juvenille. It doesn't seem to add up.
