Here's a list of Taylor Swift's music that's deemed the best. Firstly, I would like to mention that there is a diverse genre of music, in this list from country to pop. This reason is that Taylor first started her music career in 2006, with a country debut album which was self-titled (Taylor Swift) but as she grew she transferred her music towards pop, during red and then fully changed to pop for 1989. Taylor currently has six albums out and an upcoming album, which we do not know the name to yet, is rumored to be out later this year. but currently, the 6 albums she has already out in order are called

  1. Taylor Swift,
  2. Fearless,
  3. Speak Now,
  4. Red,
  5. 1989,
  6. Reputation.

Secondly, I would like to say that the list is not going to be based on the numbers or popularity. This is just a list that a swiftie of five years recommends as the best songs lyrically. Now let's start!

"Mean"

"Mean" is a song that I like a lot. Not only is the song inspiring, but it is also very relatable. For those who don't know the song is about bullying. But may I add that it is done in a very professional but fun way. The back story of the song is about how when Taylor was in school, there would be some people who would make fun of her and say that she couldn't sing. As shown in the lines of the song, "drunk and grumbling on about how I can't sing, but all you are is mean" This song is actually something that holds a special place in my heart, as I can remember coming home from a hard day at school and just crying /singing along to it and it was very therapeutic. Also if there are any Joey King fans out there you should definitely check out the "Mean" music video, as Joey plays the role of a young girl being picked on for not having the same color bow.

"All Too Well"

This song was written for the album Red. Not a lot of people outside of the swiftie fandom know this, but this song used to be very hard for Taylor to perform or in fact even talked about. I think this is because the situation and memory of the back story caused a lot of emotional trauma for her. But during reputation era, Taylor revived the song and played it two times at the some of the rep stops, she then later explains how because of the reaction of the fans wanting it so much, and the realization that the song meant so much to others. She now sees the song in a different view. I think the reason this song is in the top list is, because of the journey of it and not to mention the lyrics are a literal masterpiece. There is also meant to be an unreleased 10-minute version of this song, which has never been confirmed or denied by Taylor.

"Enchanted"

One of the reasons enchanted is on this list is, because of the instant picture it pops into my head when listened to. This song is quite underrated and I'm not sure why. The song is both relatable and boppy. So I am still shocked it is not more loved among the Swifties.

"Welcome to New York"

The song, "Welcome to New York" is an all feel good song. Not only is it a bop, but also the fact that it has a sense and a feel of fresh and new. "Welcome to New York" is the first song listed on the album 1989, and I don't think there's any other perfect way to introduce people to her new era of pop! I've always seen "Welcome to New York" as a modern pop version of "State of Grace," which is a song on the album Red and is actually the first track on there too!

"New Years Day"

This song is featured on swift's 6th album called Reputation. Taylor has explained that this song is a metaphor about the people who are there afterward. For example the lyrics "I'll be cleaning up bottles with you on New Year's Day" This is showing gratitude to the people that stay after the party to help and is there to be part of the cleanup. Whether its a party or a breakup or even just a bad day, the song is about the people who are there no matter what. I think that this song is really special for that reason. Not to mention she even recommended it to a fan for a wedding song, which makes the song that little bit more special.

I think that's enough swiftie outbursts for today I'm definitely going to do a part two of this.
