So far, we are almost half away through 2020 and a lot of things that have happened. Even though we are in a current ongoing pandemic, there are a lot of things you can do during quarantine, especially listening to new music.

These artists have taken over 2020 in music so far, and I wanna recap so just in case you are ever looking for new music to listen you might have missed or just to give you some new music to listen to.

Don Toliver- Heaven Or Hell

If you don’t know, Don Toliver is a new up-and-coming artists coming out of Houston, Texas. He is currently signed to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack music label in 2018. He first came on the scene with his first major label mixtape, Donny Womack in August 2018. On March 13, he dropped his debut studio album, Heaven or Hell. It is a great way for Don Toliver to branch out his sound as a artist and I believe he does he captures it and gives people a taste of his music and you can see why Travis Scott signed him.

Lil Baby- My Turn

Lil Baby is a hip-hop trap artist who hails from Atlanta, Georgia. After several run-ins with the law in out of prison, he turned to rapping and was signed by Quality Control Music label. I like Lil Baby for his really aggressive and genuine bars about his struggles living in poverty. In May 2018, he released his debut studio album, Harder Than Ever. He also released biggest hit to date was in June 2018, on his song “Yes Indeed” featuring Drake. The singles leading up to this album was taking over 2020 like “Woah” & “Sum To Prove.” This past February he released his second studio album, My Turn, which debuted at number one.

Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake

Lil Uzi Vert is one of the few decent exceptions of this new wave hip-hop class rappers that are actually good. Lil Uzi Vert is a rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He first broke out in 2016 after the release of his single “Money Longer.” He then signed to producer Dj Esco’s music label. I made a review on this album already, but this man has taken over 2020. He’s had numerous #1 singles such as “That Way,” & “Futsal Shuffle 2020.” In March 2020, after numerous delays, he finally released his long awaited album, Eternal Atake.

Dababy - Blame it on Baby

It has no secret thag Dababy is been taking over the Hip-Hop scene. Ever since his 2019 release of his breakout hit, “Suge,” he has released numerous hit singles like “BOP,” “Carpet Burn,” & “FIND MY WAY.” He has also released his debut studio album, Baby on Baby last year and his second studio album, KIRK later in September. 2 weeks ago, He released his highly-anticipated album, BLAME IT ON BABY.

Lil Wayne - Funeral

Lil Wayne without is one of the greatest MC’s of all time. For being in the game for over 20 years, he has proven to be one of greatest Hip-Hop artists of our time. The way he delivers his punchlines in his bars makes him so unique. After his release of his highly anticipated and delayed album in 2018, Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne suprises us with another album this February, called Funeral.

Drake- Dark Lane Demo Tapes

Canadian Rapper Drake has been a dominant artists in music ever since his debut in 2009. He became of the top selling music artists and best music artists of the past ten years. He has released numerous singles like “Hotline Bling,” “God’s Plan” & “Marvin’s Room.” He has also released numerous projects including If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Take Care, Views & Scorpion. He keeps securing his dominant role in the game after he just released another mixtape this past Friday, titled Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
