Karol G is a multi-platinum star and one of the world's top female Latin artists. Now the singer surprised her fans with the release of her new album "KG0516".

The title "KG0516" refers to a flight number derived from Karol G's acronym, accompanied by the month and day (May 16, 2006) when the artist signed her first record deal , thus beginning her journey to becoming the global superstar she is today. According to Karol G, the album title intends to invite fans to venture into this new artistic era, where she transcends herself musically into novel dimensions.

The flight metaphor is brilliant, thinking about how we face a pandemic that has grounded us and seized our longing desire to fly. Karol G hopes to clear our troubled minds by transporting us to her vibrant and colorful musical dimension.

Fans will be astounded and thrilled to connect with the artists they love at an entirely different level because the record shows the singer experimenting with many sounds, genres, and unique vibes to create something we hadn't heard before in her discography.

Thus, with her third studio album, the Latin GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter is ready to show her artistic evolution and high musical versatility. Not content with being the coauthor of all the songs on the album, the singer made her debut as a music producer alongside her long-time collaborator, Ovy On The Drums.

Through these songs, Karol G explores a wide range of musical genres, including innovative fusions of Reggaeton's characteristic rhythms with influences from Pop, Country, Bachata, Mexican music, etc.

The album contains 16 songs and includes major collaborations with high caliber artists such as Alberto Stylee, Anuel AA, Brray, Camilo, Emilee, Ivy Queen, J Balvin, Juanka, Ludacris, Mariah Angeliq, Nathy Peluso, Nicki Minaj, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, Wisin & Yandel, Yandar & Yostin and Zion. Each of the album's collaborators comes from a distinct part of the globe, allowing each song to have a unique sound perspective.
