The Top 5 Reasons to Respect DaBaby as the Shooter
Glean a different perspective on self-protection.
By considering the genre of hip hop, and the idealization of gunplay, one might think that the whole arena is full of trigger pullers. But that’s on tracks. Actual gun clappers like Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy over a decade ago, and now DaBaby, have excelled at the art of shooting back.
In all cases of self-defense, the rappers were in their own residence. Dababy, like Big Soulja and Gucci, will not see any time behind bars and the whole incident will be viewed as self-defense. Here are The Top Five Ways DaBaby Will be Hailed as a Defender of Rights.
5. Dababy Already had a Run-In with an Assailant
At a Walmart in 2018, DaBaby shot and killed a man in an attempt to rob the “Bestie” rapper. This incident may have triggered the rapper to bust back with precision. He didn't want to kill his recent assailant, but to injure him as a warning.
DaBaby could still have sent the man to be among the ages, but that 2018 shooting certainly weighs heavy on his conscience. He admonished the man to never return, hinting at how he has the capacity to end a life. His ability to aim and hit his targets should be enough to proclaim him as a freedom fighter.
4. In a Climate of Fear of Guns, DaBaby Demonstrated that he is an Example of How to Actually Use a Firearm
America has been divided by the idea of what should happen with various types of weapons. Guns seem to be a hot button issue due to mass shootings and other acts of violence in the streets. Rappers like Twista stand at the vanguard as purveyors of gun safety and how to properly handle a firearm.
With DaBaby’s acumen and skill akin to Twista, he should be lauded for being the rational individual who selfishly defended himself against two attackers.
With hip hop, the idea is to negate the right way to hold a gun and to aim and squeeze with precision and accuracy. The aforementioned rappers took the time to study their weapons and show themselves approved for protecting their own persons.
3. DaBaby Keeps the Flame of Firing Under Pressure
On both occasions where DaBaby was pushed to draw his firearm, he showed that it is correct to remain cool, calm, and collected. For him to let off fatal shots in one case and injurious ones in the other, he had to have had a clear mind and a steady hand.
His keen sense of awareness, and sharp presence of mind, permitted him the power to overtake his foes. There was no cheek to be turned in both cases. DaBaby showed a strength of character that is uncommon in the world in which we live. His greatness lies not just with the fire he spits on tracks, but with the rounds that come out of his pistol.
2. He Rejects the Idea of ‘Turning the Other Cheek’
While it would be false to claim that America is a Christian nation, there are quite a few people who would claim their way to the unknown and unknowable. With DaBaby, even as a believer, he rejected the notion of allowing his would-be attackers to get a scrap of his garment from, or injure or end his person. Instead, he used rational self-interest to fight against evil. He kept his promise to himself to be a ready man in all situations, by promptly taking matters into his own hands, and making his aggression, confidence, and relaxation combine into a fusion of power. When he drew his weapon, he said he served a purpose and deserved to live. The cowards who attempted to take from him were on the vicious side of Christianity. The Sermon on the Mount is the antithesis of American values. While DaBaby may not have explicitly spoken about this truth, his actions made the case for self-defense.
1. With the Influence if Hip Hop, the World Might See How DaBaby’s Actions Changed the Landscape
Often cited as a genre for gangstadom and malevolence, the way DaBaby handled himself both times is exemplary. Broadcast around the globe for nearly fifty years, hip hop has become a target for critics to heap condescending remarks against the creators of the music. Lyrics are lambasted. Private lives are chastised. In all of this, the idea of just how much the genre is represented by men of fortitude shines through with artists like DaBaby.
