The super producer/ rapper/actor/executive/ positivity spreader, Diddy or Love, should be commended for his behavior at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. While he may have had a few mistakes and missteps, he carried the night seamlessly otherwise.

The impresario maintained enough energy to continue down a path of success standing in front of thousands in the room and millions more on an array of devices. He appeared focused, jovial, and direct in his position as the “frequency” of the affair. Here are The Top 5 Reasons Diddy Should Host the Billboard Music Awards Again.

5. While he’s No Comedian, Diddy Still Brought the Laughs

During the ceremony, Diddy did things that were funny, but he never made fun of himself. Instead, he promoted his Ciroc vodka and his other ventures.

He employed his “butler” (where’s Mr. Bentley when you need him?) to provide the man also known as Love to nourish his ashy hands.

When it came time to get the audience to get a chuckle, Diddy never hesitated to provide light humor to keep the festivities going. His whole style served his ebullience and he caused the entire evening with chances to keep the guffaws going.

4. The Show Seemed Like a Night by the Bar

With Ciroc virtually pouring throughout the occasion, Diddy used the powers of self-promotion as a way to inject his business into the three hours plus program.

It took effort for him to be able to deliver monologues that kept everyone entertained. It was almost expected for people to sip some Ciroc in their seats. The warmth and fervor that Diddy projected permitted him to connect with folks in the room and across the globe. Did anyone pre-game before the festivities? It’s a wonder how many shots of vodka had been poured during commercials. While it may be impossible to discern just how many glasses of flavored Ciroc were swallowed at the show and elsewhere, it could be said that Diddy encouraged every drop.

3. The Confidence and Bravura of a Man of Color Shone Through With his Performance

He decided to discover a pathway to take his self-esteem and truth to new levels. He spoke with a gentlemanly and effective way to introduce a promenteau “winnergy.”

In this spirit, he exhibited the might and power of rational self-interest. While he might not know the full parameters of selfishness, he certainly showed that he was a worthy spokesman for his brands and championed the artists that collected the awards as well as acknowledging those who did not win.

This was in no way an “everyone gets a gold sticker moment.” Quite the contrary. He just wanted to show how the nominees deserve credit for their efforts as well.

His ability to show bravado, and to address the sense of purpose of the night came across very well.

2. Diddy Could Have Passed on the Opportunity

He doesn’t need self-promotion. He’s a walking billboard whether he has logos on his attire or not. He keeps on taking on the positivity and energy of moments like the BBMA’s.

Diddy could have said I’ve got hundreds of millions of dollars, what do I need with hosting an awards show? But the passion he shared about getting back into music, with the rarity for people of his age bracket and financial status to go back into the studio and cook up some new hits.

1. Diddy Addressed the Safety for Everyone

He challenged anyone feeling “froggy” to make sure they had their “affairs in order.” This of course was in recognition of the Will Smith meltdown at this year’s Academy Awards.

Diddy was very careful in his wording and how he expressed himself. While not inciting violence, he clearly just outlined the consequences for any kind of disruption at the awards show.

All he wanted to do was stand up for his brands and not have any of the artists in danger. Does that make him a good boy or a Bad Boy?
