What's your artist name and where are you from?

My artist name is Inlarcus and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Why do you love music?

Music has always been something that I have been interested in. My family plays music in the house almost everyday and a lot of it has stuck with me. It helps me express my thoughts and my feelings through something that I enjoy. I love writing down the lyrics to a song and getting excited to record and do something with them. I take pride in what I do and I strive to improve with every release. It helps me get through days when I am sad, when I am happy, or when I just need a sense of inspiration. I know music will always be a part of who I am.

What makes you different as a music artist?

For a good amount of music artists, they like to stick with what they are comfortable with, not really going out of their comfort zone. I like to take things differently. Whatever I am feeling that day, I make it. I start working on a certain genre of music and then maybe I get an idea for a song in a totally different genre. Now I am creating multiple genres of music at the same time. I like to see it as I am appealing to more listeners than just staying to what the media wants. I don't like staying on the same path and not having the chance to embrace change. I listen to music I made that performed above expectations and then innovate some of what made it special into other projects.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I want to see myself in a place I can call home, in real life and on the internet. I am going to pursue music for as long as I can, hopefully until the day I die. It is something that I have put so much time into and I want it to succeed. I never want to be famous, but I want my music to reach a certain point where I feel that I can live comfortably without having to worry. I have things that I want to do. In 5 years, I want to live somewhere away from the city. My family and I have always wanted to move to the country. We've wanted to buy some land and settle down. I think being in the country, making music of many styles, would be my vision for the next 5 years.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

I want to live happily. I want to die happy. My goals and achievements in life are very important to me. I may be only 18, but I have things I want to do now and for the future. There is time to do things in life, but there is also limited time to accomplish in life. I try the best I can in everything I do, even in things that I'm not the best at. I like finding and trying new things to invest time into. I don't have that many hobbies and I don't have that many friends, but I focus on myself and seek what I want to achieve.

What do you bring to the music world?

I bring a sense of change. As I have said before, I like changing up what I make and providing something new. I like working with people that I haven't worked with before or talking to artists that I didn't think I would talk to. I never want to keep things the same. I bring change to my music. Changing genre from song to song, to collabing with people that aren't in the genre of music I'm working on. I want to do something with the opportunities I get and I hope to grow more as a music artist and an influence.

What do you want to be remembered by?

The thing that I enjoy about creating music is having the freedom to do what I love, and I want to be remembered for the passion, hard work, and dedication that I put into the music I create. I value whoever listens and engages with my music and I hope to build and inspire a community of followers. I want my followers to remember me as someone who wasn't afraid of doing what they love and I encourage them to do the same.
