Gladys W. MuturiPublished about a year ago in BeatSongs Without Words
Introduction When I was in the Bok the band leader Andy Marshall described instrumentals as "Songs Without Words" and we had a few of those, though none made it to our demo tape that you can hear on Soundcloud link below (the pic of my ugly mug) if you feel like listening to something John Peel described as "primitive" and Stiff Records just sent us a pre-printed rejection letter. Rabid wanted to put out "Happy Birthday"/"Mystery Band" as a double "A" side single but they folded before that happened.

Mona LazarPublished about a year ago in BeatPolymathic Actor, Recording Artist, and Filmmaker Amir Royale Releases New Single “Phonics” (feat. Sydney Palmer and Declan Sheehy-Moss)
From Amir Royale I don't think I've ever really felt well-understood by my peers or mentors. Most my life I was outcasted for my passionate and exuberant outlook. "Phonics" was a way for me to define what that felt like — but, furthermore — showcase to others how to combat it. I've had this song sitting in a vault since before the pandemic. Thus, I recruited some of my favorite people in this whole wide world to share the stage for one of my last few "harder" stories to tell. Or, well — at least I think so. Declan Sheehy-Moss (a good friend of the next J. Dilla and Robert Glasper - Cisco Swank); as well as Sydney Kate Palmer (an NYU student of mine) both bring this so beautifully to life — and, I don't know — I just hope you finally get it one day. Maybe, just maybe — I even pray I'll still be here on Earth to know finally what it feels like. That's if God decides I'm lucky enough. I love and miss you all, always. Walk good, take care. 🌺❤️🩹🌺
StageScene MagazinePublished about a year ago in Beat1/3 - Breaking Down Taylor Swift's Discography and Its Impact
The impact of Taylor Swift’s music is certainly apparent to the general public. Her vastly dedicated fanbase, expansive career, genre-switching, and songwriting acclaim have made her one of the most successful musical artists of the 21st century. This is a deep dive into her different eras and the profound impact that her music has had on me, personally. Her debut album, Taylor Swift, introduced the world to the sixteen-year-old, beautiful, blond, songwriting genius that is Taylor Swift, with her debuting as a country act. Her first released single was titled Tim McGraw, which introduced her songwriting gift to music listeners everywhere. Her stark talent at such a young age was evident from the beginning. I was born in 2003, so I was only three years old when her first album was released, and I didn’t discover how much I genuinely connected with her music, until later on. With that being said, I consider myself to be a highly dedicated fan now and have done much research about her, her songwriting process, and I adored watching the Miss Americana documentary, as well as the Reputation Stadium Tour film, and the long pond studio sessions Disney+ special. I also write poetry myself, and all of her lyrics are just so eloquently poetic in a way that can truly invoke emotion.
