"What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" is a popular song that was written in 1947 by American songwriter Frank Loesser as an independent song. It was first recorded by the American R&B group The Orioles in 1949. It became a holiday classic when it was recorded in 1984 by the American vocal duo The Carpenters. The song became a popular choice for New Year’s Eve celebrations. It is featured on their Christmas Collection album.

“Happy New Year” has become a very popular holiday song that was recorded in 1980 by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It is featured on their album Super Trouper with lead vocals by Agnetha Faltskog. The song’s Spanish version “Felicidad” was released in Spanish-speaking countries, In December 2011, a silver glitter vinyl single limited to 500 copies was released, including the songs “Happy New Year” and “The Way Old Friends Do”.
