Please tell us what inspired you to create your new segment, "Remi's Summer Adventures".

Remi: You know, what got me thinking about this was how cool it would be to see these businesses and places in action, rather than just chatting with them on my set. It's like, you get to see the real vibe and energy, you know? So, I thought, why not bring that experience to our viewers? I want to discover the best parts of these places, chat with some awesome guests, and just have a blast exploring what these communities have to offer. Whether you're into food, games, wine, movies, or just looking for a good time, this segment's got something for everyone. Now, you know me, I love sharing positive vibes and bringing people together. That's why I'm so stoked to share this adventure with you all. Plus, it's not just about having fun - it's also about supporting local businesses and celebrating what makes our communities special.

As the first black woman-owned television show in Rhode Island, what challenges have you faced in the industry, and how have you overcome them?

Remi: Navigating the world of television as the first black women-owned show has definitely had its share of challenges. One of the toughest parts has been facing negativity from within our own community. It's sad, but there have been some instances where I've encountered hate and jealousy from other black women and men. Not everyone, of course, but a few individuals whose negative energy could be felt. Dealing with this kind of negativity can really throw you off course, you know? It's like hitting a roadblock when you're trying to move forward. But I've always been determined not to let it stop me. Instead of letting it get me down, I've used it as fuel to work even harder. I've put in extra hours, pushed myself out of my comfort zone, and made connections with people I never would have met otherwise. Networking has been key in overcoming these challenges. By reaching out to new people, I've been able to expand my circle and find support in unexpected places. It's like building a new community of like-minded individuals who lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.

So, while there have been obstacles along the way, I've learned to turn them into opportunities for growth. And hey, if anything, it's made me even more determined to succeed. Because at the end of the day, I refuse to let anyone else's negativity hold me back from reaching my goals.

What impact do you hope "Remi's Summer Adventures" will have on viewers?

Remi: I'm really excited about the potential impact of "Remi's Summer Adventures" on our viewers. I think it's going to be a game-changer! The whole idea behind the segment is to show these businesses in a fresh, exciting way. You know, like giving them a chance to shine in a whole new light. I'm hoping that when people watch the segment, they'll get inspired to check out these places for themselves. Maybe they'll see a restaurant or an arcade they've never been to before and think, "Hey, that looks like fun! I want to try it out." And that's where the magic happens - when viewers become customers. Ultimately, I want to help these businesses thrive. It's tough out there, especially for small businesses. If "Remi's Summer Adventures" can bring in some extra customers and help these places make a little more money, then I'll consider it a success. After all, when local businesses succeed, we all win.

What advice would you give to aspiring television personalities or content creators looking to break into the industry?

Remi: Here's some advice for anyone out there dreaming of making it big in television or content creation: Keep pushing forward, no matter what. Don't let anyone tell you that your dreams aren't possible or that you can't succeed. Sometimes, people will try to bring you down because they didn't chase their own dreams or achieve their goals. But that's their journey, not yours. Stay focused, stay determined, and keep believing in yourself. You've got this!

Can you share any exciting plans or future projects for Remi TV beyond "Remi's Summer Adventures"?

Remi: I've got some exciting plans in the works, but for now, I'll have to keep them under wraps. However, I can tell you that the Remi TV Award Show is scheduled for April 19, 2025, at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Keep an eye out for updates - I promise it'll be worth the wait!

Lastly, how can viewers tune in to watch "Remi's Summer Adventures" and support Remi TV?

Remi: Roku, Reveel, TVEI, (television networks) Pandora, I Heart Radio, Apple Podcasts, and all podcast platforms.
