Ravyn Lenae Postpones North American Tour

Ravyn Lenae has postponed her upcoming North American tour for undisclosed reasons. The R&B singer had been scheduled to travel across the United States and Canada throughout September and October in support of her latest album, Blue Island.

In a statement shared through her Instagram Story, Lenae said she made the decision after speaking with her team. She apologized to fans who had purchased tickets and emphasized that performing live remains one of her favorite parts of being an artist.

“After talking with my team, I’ve made the difficult decision to postpone touring this fall,” Lenae wrote. “I hate to disappoint you. Connecting with my fans through live performance is one of my favorite experiences as an artist, but I promise that when I bring the show to you in the new year it will be worth the wait.”

Lenae also confirmed that all purchased tickets will be refunded at the original point of purchase. Specific replacement dates for the postponed shows have not yet been announced.

The cancelled North American run was scheduled to begin September 15 in Sacramento, California, at Channel 24. From there, Lenae was set to perform in Oakland, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, and Philadelphia.

The tour would then have continued into Canada with a performance at HISTORY in Toronto on October 5. Additional dates were planned for Raleigh, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Dallas, Austin, Tucson, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, where Lenae was scheduled to close the run at the Greek Theatre on October 21.

Although the North American shows have been postponed, Lenae will still perform three European festival sets later this month. Her international appearances include All Points East in London on August 28, Kalorama in Lisbon on August 29, and Electric Picnic in County Laois, Ireland, on August 30.

The festival performances will give Lenae an opportunity to perform in front of audiences while the larger tour plans are reworked. It remains unclear whether the European appearances will be built around Blue Island or whether they will feature a broader selection from her catalog.

Lenae’s message began by thanking fans for their response to Blue Island. “The love I’ve received so far is so beautiful,” she wrote, adding that she was “eternally grateful” for the time listeners had spent with the album.

That appreciation reflects the importance of the new record in her career. Blue Island is the latest chapter in Lenae’s development as a singer and songwriter, building on her distinctive combination of contemporary R&B, alternative pop, electronic production, and intimate vocal performances.

Her music is often defined by contrast. Lenae can sound vulnerable and self-assured within the same song, moving between soft, airy melodies and more rhythmically direct performances. A live show built around Blue Island would likely bring those qualities into a more expansive setting, with arrangements designed to emphasize both the record’s atmosphere and its emotional details.
