Ratsasan movie review

The movie "Ratsasan" opens with a flashback of a young boy named Arun (played by Saravanan) and his family living in a small village. Arun is shown playing with his sister, while their parents prepare dinner. Suddenly, they hear a loud noise and rush outside to see what's happening. They are confronted by an unknown assailant who brutally murders Arun's parents and sister. Arun is traumatized by the incident and is sent to live with his grandparents in the city.

Years later, Arun (now played by Vishnu Vishal) has grown up to become a struggling assistant director who is unable to find work in the film industry. He is still haunted by the murder of his family and is determined to catch the killer. One day, a series of brutal murders take place in the city, with the killer targeting young schoolgirls. The police are unable to solve the case, and the public becomes increasingly panicked.

Arun becomes interested in the case and starts to investigate on his own. He visits the crime scene and analyzes the evidence, and begins to suspect that the killer is someone with medical knowledge due to the precision of the cuts made on the victims' bodies. He shares his findings with the investigating officer, but they dismiss his theories.

Undeterred, Arun continues to investigate and starts to see connections between the murders. He starts to see patterns in the killer's behavior and starts to create a profile of the killer. He even creates a list of potential suspects, but the investigating officer is still skeptical of Arun's theories.

As Arun's obsession with the case grows, he starts to see hallucinations of his dead sister, who urges him to keep investigating. He becomes increasingly erratic and starts to investigate suspects on his own. One day, he meets a young school teacher named Viji (played by Amala Paul), who seems to be connected to the case. Arun starts to follow her and becomes convinced that she is the killer, but he has no evidence to support his theory.

Viji: "Why are you following me? Do you think I'm the killer?"

Arun: "I don't know. There's something about you that doesn't add up. I need to find out more."

Viji: "I'm just a school teacher. I have nothing to do with these murders."

Arun: "I'm sorry, but I need to be sure. I won't stop until I find out who the killer is."

Meanwhile, the killer continues to strike, and Arun becomes more desperate to catch him. He starts to see clues everywhere and becomes increasingly paranoid. His erratic behavior leads to him being suspended from the police force, but he continues to investigate on his own.

One day, Arun visits Viji's house and finds evidence that she may indeed be the killer. He confronts her, but she denies everything. Arun becomes increasingly agitated and starts to attack her, but he is interrupted by the investigating officer, who tells him that they have caught the real killer.

The investigating officer: "We caught the killer. He's a man named Christopher."

Arun: "Christopher? Who's he?"

The investigating officer: "He's a mentally ill man who was abused as a child. He's been targeting young schoolgirls as a way of seeking revenge on society."

The killer is revealed to be a mentally ill man named Christopher (played by Kaali Venkat). Arun and the investigating officer chase Christopher through the city, and a thrilling shootout takes place. Arun manages to capture Christopher, and he finally finds closure for his traumatic past.

As Arun captures Christopher, he finally finds closure for his traumatic past. He realizes that the killer was not connected to his family's murder and that his obsession with the case had led him down the wrong path. Arun reflects on his past trauma and decides to channel his experiences into a film, which he eventually directs and becomes a success.

Arun: "I finally found closure. I can't change what happened to my family, but I can use my experiences to make a difference. I'll make a film that tells the story of what happened to me, and maybe it'll help someone else who's going through a similar situation."

Viji: "That's a great idea. You have a powerful story to tell, and I'm sure it'll resonate with many people."

Arun: "Thank you for understanding. You were right. I was obsessed with the case and lost sight of what was important. But now, I can finally move on."

As the movie ends, the audience is left with a sense of closure, as Arun finally finds peace after years of struggling with his traumatic past. The story is a testament to the power of perseverance, the importance of seeking closure, and the impact of trauma on one's life. The movie "Ratsasan" is a thrilling, emotional roller coaster that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, while also delivering a powerful message about the human experience.
