R. Kelly: Fallen King of R&B Geniuses Do Dumb *hit Too

Can He Ever Be Replaced???

R.Kelly’s 12 Play

When you talk about a musical genius R.Kelly is at the very top of any list new or old. No one could match his speed when it came to recording hit records and I say recording because he was functionally illiterate and could not read or write without help. That fact only adds to legend of his genius in the artistry of song. Kelly could not control his foolish urge for young girls when he could have had just about any adult woman of which he did but he enjoyed young girls more because in his mind they were more pure. His stupid fantasy of being with young girls has possibly put an end to the most brilliant rhythm and blues soul music the planet has ever known or ever will hear again. He recorded and had music written for the most prestigious and powerful musical icons the in world. Whitney Houston and Micheal Jackson are two artists that got instant hits from him. It was like R.Kelly was having outer body experience and we all got to witness true greatness every time he touched a microphone. His kind will never be found again and he has disgraced and sorely offended his fans and parents of young girls across the globe. He is the embodiment and living evidence that geniuses do dumb *hit too.

R.Kelly Coming from Court

The truth of the matter with R. Kelly is that R&B artists are glad Kelly is out of the way because they had absolutely no chance of competing with his music he’s too gifted. He gave his haters everything they wanted because he couldn’t control his lust for female babies. It wasn’t entirely his fault that he developed such a damning mental illness because he himself was sexually abused for years by his own older sister and some old gay pervert raped him and his younger brother. But all of that could not deter his superhuman gift of music he inherited from his late mother that was allegedly naturally gifted in music as well. R.Kelly was the greatest singer ever from the beginning. His music teacher was in awe at his skills. He blew everybody’s mind in his music class. I’m sure they wondered how he was such a miracle with the microphone and they were just hoping to get one of his hand-me-down blessings from his endless well of musical ability. There was none before and there will be none after R.Kelly. It was only a matter of time before he got his big break and got signed to a major record label. Chicago must have something mystical about their singers and musicians because they are all unique they are as follows: Sam Cooke, John Legend, Quincy Jones ,and Lil Durk just to name a few.

R. Kelly was given a chance to compete and win $100,000 in a singing contest he won and then a record deal followed. Those other signers in the contest were in way over their head they had no chance. He was in a group called “Public Announcement” of which he was the lead singer naturally the other guys where just grateful for being along for the ride. They cut one album and the biggest hit from the album is a song called “Honey Love.” In 1992 the song peaked at #29 and it was added to a classic hood movie’s soundtrack called“Menace II Society” in 1993. But R.Kelly was too talented to be in a group anymore. He could make more money by himself those guys were cool but they weren’t worthy to carry his water. He would then go on to cut his first solo album called “12 Play” and that is the first time I got to hear the craziest R&B song I’ve ever heard in my life called “Untitled Song.” I’ll never forget when my older sister turned me on to it. She popped the taped into mama’s tape deck and all I heard was this amazing commanding strong voice say “Do you mind if I give you some of myyyyyy 12 play.” My mouth hit the floor here I was a nine year boy listening to a song about foreplay and oral sex and I didn’t even know it. I just knew that it was the illest singing I’d ever heard still is until this day in my opinion. The energy was different from the slower songs by Luther Vandross which is good music but Kelly’s style demanded more attention.

R.Kelly

With all of his ability and becoming wildly rich he could not escape his addiction to underage girls and that frustrates the hell out of me. I learned how to put together poetry originally from listening to his music and later Alicia Keys but he was my spark. I also learned how to talk to women by listening to his music. I learned how to speak from my heart in a gentle but strong way by listening to him. And if you listen to R.Kelly you cannot help but let the melody get all the way down in your bones from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet!!! I feel like my older brother I always wanted to be like is jail and I’m barred from talking or hearing from him indefinitely. He is truely the world’s greatest just like the iconic song he made to honor the great “Muhammad Ali.” The inspiration is endless from his music. From the gospel song he composed for Whitney Houston the first gospel song I ever bought called “I look to you” to the other classic he wrote for Michael Jackson “You are not alone.” He is that mountain and tall tree that he spoke of for sure when it comes to making music. And it has not been the same since he’s been in prison awaiting trial for those foolish sex crimes he was so far above committing. I’m probably more disappointed in him then anybody. I looked to him for wisdom in his music. Listening to “I wish” helped me cope when my best friend got killed 2004. Will there be another R.Kelly the one that didn’t need a fancy beat to tear it down he could do it acappella on demand!

R.Kelly in Concert

When Tp2.com dropped I listened to it and I was trying to process what I was hearing from the intro until ending of the album. R.Kelly probably doesn’t even understand how talented he is. He could sign gospel like no one on the planet. That’s unheard of to have a secular artist that can sing about substance equally as good as he could sing songs that were all about sex because that was supposed to be his specialty. He did it all with the highest quality. He made a song called “I am your Angel” with Céline Dion that can be played in any gospel mix and it’s guaranteed to raise the level of quality without question. “I believe I can fly” gave hope to so many people that were so ready to give up on life that it can not be counted for multitude. His music could not stop improving and the only one that could stop him was himself and he did.

Not long before R. Kelly went to Prison

How could the man that made “Woman’s Threat” not be here to create more excellence because he was addicted to having sex with children and he had $150,000,000 at his demise. His bank accounts were frozen so he could not afford to hire adequate legal representation. They broke his spirit and the genius of music like no other cannot create anymore magic and it’s totally his fault. R.Kelly had no idea what how he was going to be dragged. Once Gayle King and the rest of the feminist lynch mob get on a black man it’s over for whoever that man is.

R.Kelly Currently

R. Kelly has been locked up for nearly three years and he still hasn’t been sentenced to prison. He’s in jail being beaten by other prisoners and he looking like a shell of his former self. People hate R.Kelly so much that they applauded when they heard he was badly beaten by another prisoner and the guards probably allowed it to happen for his or her own amusement. R. Kelly is a classic tale of a man that had the world at his feet and he threw all away for to have sex with female children. I will never be able to make sense of the crimes he committed. He could get any woman but sadly he just wanted a little girl. No matter what he’s done there’s no taking away who he was and what he meant to music as a whole. But what he’s going through is nothing new I must accept that he did it to himself. The karma of his folly manifested and he should have known better. I just have to come grips with the fact that geniuses do dumb *hit too and that’s life.
