Premium Stage Concert Volume 2: New York on Stage

New York has no shortage of talent or opportunities to show it off despite what you may have heard. This past weekend, Dope Music Monopoly Premium Stage Concert Volume 2: Red Gino Showcase provided both. Volume 2 proved to be a noteworthy event in Brooklyn and part of a performance series that local (and traveling) artists should keep on their radar. If you are looking for a great time or stage time, this series is a valuable opportunity to perform, network, and build those entertainer chops.

Premium Stage Concert Volume 1

In case you missed it, Dope Music Monopoly Premium Stage Concert Volume 1 took over Gems Lounge in Brooklyn, New York, Sunday, March 26, 2023. Hosted by LBLeoBars, the event boasted a long list of celebrity guests, including Ceasar Emanuel and Bux from VH1’s hit reality show, Black Ink Crew, and artists Healthy Chill and KGoddess.

Premium Stage Concert Volume 2: Red Gino Showcase

With the incredible turnout of artists at Volume 1, expectations were high for Volume 2. On Sunday, April 23, 2023, Dope Music Monopoly Premium Stage Concert Volume 2: Red Gino Showcase did it again. The showcase brought out big names, personalities, and rewards for the winner of the showcase. The event, powered by Red Gino and Belaire, drew talent from across the east coast, with artists traveling from New York through Florida taking the stage to win cash, bottles, interviews, and street credit.

Volume 2, curated by LBLeoBars and powered by Red Gino, brought energy, flowing drinks, and purple clouds. The show would put a smile on the harshest music critic’s face. DJ Big Uptown kept the party moving. Celebrity guest DJ Drewski of Hot 97 hosted in his usual down-to-earth style. Celebrity attendees included Renee Graziano of Mob Wives fame, Trev Mulah of The Factory Place, and more, filling out the VIP section.

Show Highlights

With an impressive performance list, the showcase filled the venue with artists set to perform and enjoy the show. Surprisingly, various genres filled the air. Attendees heard everything from drill to pop to R&B. Artists from all scenes gave their best short sets, bringing attention-grabbing performances and the high energy you expect from a New York show.

QUEB kicked off the event as the first performer. Coincidentally, the artist also celebrated his first stage performance that night. AL99 brought surprise vibes to the stage with his powerful presence during “Come Back,” a neo-soul/pop song. That track is sure to become your next earworm. DJ Sheem kept the sound going throughout the event. LXD, CDF ZAY, Lil BooBoo, NoRapMoneyOx, Joffy, General Deezy, Numbers, YSG Fazo, and Mizzy Love each had their turn at the mic, but in the end, LXD ultimately was named the winner of the show.

With whispers of Volume 3 on its way, now is the time for independent and unsigned area artists to prepare. This event and others in the Premium Stage Concerts series are a great opportunity for independent and unsigned artists from all over, but particularly the northeast, to be seen and heard by taste makers and industry professionals. The energy is high, fellow artists are supportive, and the series generally has a supportive artist subculture and following.
