To Kodak Black,

What's happening, man? You’re out here getting charged for drug trafficking. Why? President Trump already commuted your sentence. You’ve had some run-ins with the law post that action. Can’t you keep still for five minutes and keep your nose clean?

What is it about being caught up by the law that seems to entice you? What is it that drives you to be ensnared in the way of crime?

You hail from Florida. You might be a candidate for Floridaman for All Time. The cops said they found MDMA amongst your belongings. If this is true, you’re going back to prison.

How does that sound? With the drug trafficking case, you may not see the same leniency from the commander in chief.

Why can’t you, like a few of your rap peers, stay out of trouble? What is so exciting about doing the wrong things. In a fully free nation, nobody would care if you had MDMA amongst your things. We’re not there yet.

You ought to be able to see the difference between the reality of holding onto items in some future time. You have to look at it as a matter of revolutionizing your way of life.

Your mark on the world is indelible and should be recognized for your contributions. Let that be your light. Shine with the power of your gifts and know that to get in trouble is not the way.

You ought to be forceful in your art and not on the street. You ought to become aware of your surroundings and the substances that you should never keep in your person until the day where the laws change.

If there is a way for you to just stay on the straight and narrow, you should be advocating for the freedom to use controlled substances. What is it that making moves in these Internet streets makes you move like you’re in the traditional streets?

You’ve garnered millions of dollars and should be able to enjoy these dollars. Never mind the criminal acts. You’re like a beacon amidst a wasteland. You shine because you have been able to rise up among the fray and exert your talents on the worldstage.

You can't be out here with MDMA and act like everything is sweet. You have a hardcharger as a lawyer. You should keep him and know that the fight to keep you from being behind bars will be largely fought by him.

Ultimately, though, you should be determined to create more art and reflect your mind in a certain manner that allows you to flourish. That’s important. Once you take into account that getting in trouble is not cool or admirable, you should think about the truth which lies behind your inclination to do “crime.”

The drugs aren’t the problem. The truth is about how you approach them in this place where you find yourself. If you want the best out of life, you should be about sustaining and thriving for the future of your life. You ought to be attached to the idealism of creating a world for yourself to be a better person and artist.

To stand on business means for you to keep yourself clean and not having to rely on the drugs to get you through your days, whether using or selling.

This trafficking charge should be a catalyst for you to finally break through as one of the premiere artists. Like many of your fellow artists, they can’t just get out of their own way.

Just remember you fashioned yourself to be a star. What you must do is remember who you are and what you’re about in this life.
