Oh Boy Prince Goes Viral with new single “Round Rock”

Oh Boy Prince is no stranger to the spotlight, but this time it is solely focused on him. After gaining worldwide recognition as a member of the GS Boyz with their Billboard hit “Stanky Legg”, Prince shows he can still create a wave.

His newest single “Round Rock” has gained over 40 million plays on TikTok including over 17.9 million with the “One Leg Challenge” and over 200K views on YouTube. Joined by Dallas, TX native Unique Musick the pair created something memorable that’s recognized by the first few words…” ONE LEG IN-ONE LEG OUT.”

The single has taken social media by storm with countless TikTok and Instagram reels created by some of the most well-known influencers, celebrities, and athletes. Even more important than the notable stamps are the posts from the incredible fans that have supported Prince and represent the fun and diversity in his music.

While sticking to the formula of promoting fun and inclusion through music, Prince knows what works for him and his fans; it’s just this time he’s prepared to do it his way.

As a member of the Billboard-charting group GS BOYZ, Prince was able to show he could captivate a nation through interactive music. There are countless videos dedicated to The Stanky Legg and other hits made by the group. As the group quietly disbanded Prince has now decided to embark on his solo career. This time around he utilized social media as a catalyst to reach his fans. His single “Round Rock” has gone viral on TikTok and Instagram. Gaining over 40 million streams and with almost 20 million hits dedicated to the "One Leg In" challenge, Prince once again is able to get the whole nation dancing.

Re-emerging in an age where the use of social platforms can make or break you caused Prince to have to learn the fundamentals of digital marketing, fan targeting, and creative content creation.

What inspired you to get into the entertainment industry?

Oh Boy Prince:

I've always loved music. I started to take it seriously in high school. 50 Cent was an inspiration when I first began.

What has the experience been like for you being apart of the Billboard chart-topping group GS Boyz?

Oh Boy Prince:

One of the best experiences of my life. We traveled the world, toured different countries, had access to anything we wanted. I definitely got to experience the dream.

What are some of the most memorable moments in your career so far?

Receiving a Gold Plaque for Stanky Legg, and performing shows in Africa.

How has the pandemic shaped your day-to-day life?

Oh Boy Prince:

During the pandemic, I was able to put in a lot of work. I used TikTok as my breakthrough for many of my songs including my single "Round Rock" that has over 40 million views on TikTok currently.

What are you currently working on?

Oh Boy Prince:

Building my independent label C4s. I have a few artists that I'm creating something big with.

What do you want your legacy to look like?

Oh Boy Prince:

I want everyone to know it's okay to be yourself. It's okay to dance and have fun. I love putting smiles on my fans' faces from children to elderly.

Tammy Reese:

What advice would you have for anyone who wants to get into the entertainment industry?

Oh Boy Prince:

Stay focus and never stop chasing your dreams. It may become difficult at times but most of the time you have to fail to win. Don't let the losses take your focus from the main picture.
