Music I enjoy...
and worth a listen
To say I like eclectic music would be an understatement. I'm proud listener of alternative music. Bands like, London Grammar, Florence and the Machine, Awfultune, Sia and my favorite, Daughter.
Two alternative music performers I'd like to introduce you to is, again Daughter, a band from the UK led by the talented sultry voice of Elena Tonra.
The second is a young gentleman named Roland Faunte who is a master songwriter, IMHO.
Anyway, enjoy the music!
There are many more excellent alternative music performers. But let's stop a second and ask ourselves what is the genre of alternative music all about? When the term was Used in the 1970s, it was referring to non-commercial music ie: not under control of big labels. Independent music is one example for alternative music, underground music is another. Almost every music genre starts as alternative music. As a contrast to mainstream which comprises all music styles that are successful from a commercial viewpoint. Then, there are alternative music styles created by previously unknown artists.
Other good alternative music performers:
+ Aurora
+Awfultune
+Boy Genius
+Upshaul
+King Mala
+Artic Monkeys
+Sia
