Mick Eddy Builds an Immersive World with “Come Over” and “About You”
With two captivating new singles, Mick Eddy introduces listeners to the introspective soundscape of his forthcoming debut album.

For Mick Eddy, music is more than a creative outlet. It is a way of making sense of a life shaped by movement, exploration and a constant reinvention.
The Boston based singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist introduces listeners to his artistic universe with “Come Over” and “About You,” the first two singles from his forthcoming debut album, Strange Weather. Together, the tracks reveal an artist with a distinctive voice, a refined production sensibility and a gift for transforming personal experience into immersive musical storytelling.
Entirely self-written and self-produced, Strange Weather represents the culmination of years spent developing both his craft and his perspective. Eddy's upbringing was anything but conventional.
Raised across the Czech Republic, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, the United States, and the Netherlands, he was exposed to a wide range of cultures, languages and environments from an early age. This global upbringing informs his music in subtle but meaningful ways. There is a sense of motion embedded in his songwriting, as if each song captures a fleeting moment from a much larger journey.
The first of the two singles, “Come Over,” immediately draws listeners into Eddy's atmospheric music. Built upon warm grooves, textured guitar work, and understated but engaging production, the song explores themes of longing and nostalgia without becoming overly sentimental. It is a track that feels equally suited to solitary late night listening and shared moments of reflection.
“About You” takes a more introspective approach while maintaining the sonic cohesion that ties both songs together. The production is rich and immersive, but the emotional focus narrows slightly.
Eddy demonstrates an impressive understanding of vocals here in this track, allowing space and atmosphere to carry as much weight as the lyrics themselves.
One of the most impressive aspects of Eddy's work is the balance he strikes between technical precision and an authentic energy. Before fully committing to music, he studied Electrical Engineering, completing more than half of his degree before ultimately deciding to pursue his creative ambitions. That decision led him to Berklee College of Music, where he further refined his skills as a songwriter, producer and performer. The analytical mindset developed through his engineering background seems to definitely complement his artistic instincts.
While Eddy handles the majority of the writing, production, performance, and engineering himself, Strange Weather also benefits from collaboration with a trusted creative circle. Additional engineering support came from Boston based mixer Mike Midura, while select mastering was handled by Grammy winning engineer Randy Merrill, whose extensive credits include work with some of contemporary music's biggest names. The album's polished sound reflects these contributions while remaining firmly rooted in Eddy's artistic vision.
Taking much of his inspiration from artists such as John Mayer, Tom Misch, Frank Ocean, and Anderson .Paak, Mick Eddy has developed a style all of his own that values atmosphere, groove, and an authentic vibe above trends or genre conventions.
With “Come Over” and “About You,” he offers a compelling introduction to that approach. And Strange Weather is shaping up to be a debut that establishes Mick Eddy as an artist with both the talent and vision to create something truly memorable.
