For some artists, the realization that music is more than a passion comes gradually. For LYON, it emerged through a simple but meaningful moment: spending an entire day doing what he loved. What began as an interest had grown into something he could envision pursuing with genuine commitment. Reflecting on when music became more than just a passion, LYON shares, “I realized music was more than just a passion for me when I had spent an entire day writing songs.” That experience gave him a clearer understanding of how naturally music had become part of his life. Writing songs no longer felt like something he had to make time for—it was something he could devote an entire day to without losing interest. More than simply completing a large amount of writing, the experience showed LYON that music had become an important part of his identity and creative development. That realization continues to influence the way he approaches his artistry and the future he envisions for his music.

Like any creative journey, however, growth doesn't always come with complete confidence. LYON recognizes that self-doubt is a natural part of the creative process, but he has developed ways to regain perspective when uncertainty begins to interfere with his momentum. “I think we all go through a little self-doubt when being creative, but I handle it by putting on something uplifting, such as an inspirational movie, a song, or even reading a book.” Rather than allowing doubt to bring his creativity to a standstill, LYON looks for inspiration in the world around him. Whether through music, film, or literature, these experiences give him an opportunity to reset, shift his perspective, and reconnect with the ideas that motivate him. For him, staying creative means accepting that uncertainty is part of the process without allowing it to define his journey. His approach highlights the importance of maintaining inspiration while continuing to build confidence. By intentionally surrounding himself with uplifting stories, sounds, and ideas, LYON is able to return to his work with renewed energy and a clearer sense of direction. As he continues pursuing music, LYON has also come to understand that success isn't built alone. Passion and dedication may provide the foundation, but the people surrounding an artist can have a significant impact on their ability to grow, stay motivated, and persevere.

Looking back, his advice to his younger self centers on the importance of finding that support early. “Looking back, I would tell my younger self to find a good support system and keep myself surrounded by people who want and believe in my dream as much as I believe in myself.” For LYON, having people who genuinely understand his vision and encourage his ambitions can make the creative journey more manageable. A strong support system provides reassurance during difficult moments while also reinforcing the confidence needed to keep pursuing long-term goals. His experiences have shown him that self-belief is essential, but it can become even stronger when surrounded by people who share that belief. As LYON continues developing as an artist, passion, inspiration, and a supportive community remain central to the mindset guiding his journey—helping him stay focused on the music and the future he hopes to build.
