Live Music is Back

Perhaps if you were in Venice Beach, California this Saturday you encountered a crazy crowd of people on the beach enjoying a show from superstar Machine Gun Kelly. Didn’t know it was happening? Neither did anyone else. Well not until a hint Tweeted by MGK himself.

Fans quickly understood what was happening and flocked to the location for the exclusive event. On a relatively small, rooftop stage Machine Gun Kelly was joined by good friend and legendary drummer Travis Barker as they celebrated MGK’s album Tickets to My Downfall going Platinum.

Put on by NoCap shows, the concert was welcomed with open arms after a long year and a half of lockdown and relatively no live music. Although, thanks to companies like NoCap, the livestreaming industry thrived and fans weren’t completely cut off from their favorite artists.

Not only did the fans show up, but it was a star studded event with the girlfriends of the musicians - Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian along with TikTok star Addison Rae and others.

The show was live-streamed on NoCap’s Instagram and posted to their feed allowing fans that missed out on the day-of to get a glimpse into the rockstar event. The 13-song set list included fan favorites and a ton of the music from his 5th studio album Tickets to My Downfall. Appropriately, so given the album was the reason for the celebration. The impromptu show is surely going to be the first to come of exciting and exclusive events this summer that take advantage of music and crowds that are officially back in action after a year and a half of lockdown. It was a nice sight to see, having everyone joined together over a common love of music on Venice Beach Saturday.

Also, Kelly's presence on the Billboard 200 remains equally impressive, as he previously earned four top-ten efforts.
