We may be inside, but that doesn't mean we can't have a rocking good time! I created my own playlist of talented ladies' work to help get me through COVID-19 quarantine on Apple Music and . I talk about three of the featured albums and artists below!

She Is Risen: Volume One - EP

She Is began as a concert at the Ballroom in 2017, featuring an all-female cast singing Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic score of the rock operetta Jesus Christ Superstar. The concert album, released at the beginning of April 2020, features some of these original cast members. The concept album includes five pieces of the score ("Heaven On Their Minds", "Pilate's Dream", "Simon ", "I Don't Know How to Love Him", and "Gethsemane") and the future release of volume two promises five more tracks. Featured so far are Shoshana Bean as Judas; as Pontius Pilate; as Simon; Cynthia as Mary Magdalene; and Morgan James as Jesus.

E if you're not a musical theater fan, Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock musical that lovers of rock 'n' roll and musical theater can appreciate. The vocals on this new re-imagining of Jesus' story are inspired, impressive, and filled with all the emotions.

Six: The Musical (Studio Cast Recording)

Six is the musical sensation that has been taking the world by storm since 2017. Starting out as a fringe project at Edinburgh Fringe, Toby Marlow's and Lucy Moss's one-act rock concert of a musical now graces the stages of London, Broadway, Australia, Wellington, Chicago, and across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The show's music exploded on the social media platform TikTok, and the show's fan base, called "The ", is still growing across the world. The show covers the untold stories of King Henry VIII's six wives, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr, who were either "divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived", in that order. With a score filled with pop, rock, R&B, rap, gospel, punk, house, and musical theater influences, it's closer to a pop EP than a classic musical theater cast recording.

This album gives you the girl power, comedy, style, and anthems you've been craving!

Maisie Peters

M Peters is an English 20-year-old singer/songwriter from Brighton. Her music features a lot of acoustics, great lyrics, and chill vibes. Listening to her music is like getting a spa treatment at your therapist's office. You're going to want to dance around your kitchen, cry into your pillow, and zen out in a bubble bath.

She's released two (It's Your Bed Babe, It's Your Funeral - EP and Dressed to Nice for a Jacket - EP) and singles, some of my favorites being " Ex", "Stay Young", and "Take Care of Yourself", which are all featured in my playlist. While her music is defined as pop by the major music platforms, it's obvious that she brings in influences from folk rock, R&B, and poetic styles.

The full playlist (below) also features the music of , Billie , Melanie Martinez, Morgue, and Sammy Rae & The Friends, and I will continue to add some of my favorite new female artists, female-driven cast recordings, and new work by my favorite artists already featured in the playlist!
