Returning to base as a prominent producer within his own territory, John Course steps forward once again with another Chart topping, club focussed track. Taking in his surmountable years at the helm of the Australian scene, it is clear to see that his inspiration and drive remain resilient, even during these enduring times without traditional clubs or the energy of a dancefloor we all dearly miss.

Having been part of the house music since its emergence in Australia, John first came to prominence by winning the Victorian leg of the DMC turntablism competition…A feat he repeated two years in a row!!! Moving from turntablist roots, he embraced house music from the start & was listed in DJ Mag’s first ever Top 100 DJ’s list.

He has gone on to start a successful label, produce original music, mix over a million CD’s for Ministry Of Sound, One Love & Vicious, have a national dance music radio show in Australia & most recently, hosting his own webcast during the Covid-19 isolation period.

Between all of the above, John also gets the urge to produce music, having been part of Blackout (who’s “Gottta Have Hope” was a huge club record globally in the late 90’s), as half of Electro Funk Lovers & with solo productions under his alias J.A.C. or simply as John Course where he first remixed for Defected Records on a remix of King Unique’s now classic “Love Is What You Need” with Andy Van way back in 2000. His most recent remixes have been Rave Radio’s “You’re Making Me High” and Sgt Slick’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!”.

John’s latest production, a house music cover of Liberty X’s R&B hit “Just A Little”, takes his dance floor aesthetic & mashes it with the hooks from this Liberty X classic. Rolling bass, crisp clean drums & a jacking groove combined with the sexy vocals brings this classic hit back to life with a fresh take.

John has defiantly cemented himself as one of the leading personalities within the Australian dance music culture. Having been part of the house music revolution in that territory since the evolution of electronic music, he has mixed over 17 compilations including multiple Vicious Cuts, Ministry Of Sound’s Sessions 1,2 3 and 4, One Love, The 10 Year Annual plus a six renditions of Ministry’s yearly “Annual”. Over one million CD’s with a John Course mix have been sold in Australia to date which signifies his stature as an entertainer and DJ at the forefront of his scene. With a population of just over 23 million that’s not a bad percentage to attribute!

Over the years as half of Electro Funk Lovers, under his alias J.A.C. or sometimes simply as John Course his studio productions have weaved their way across the world, igniting charts and remaining on regular radio rotation.
