I-LAND Hanbin And His Hannies Achievements!!!

Introduction:

Ngô Ngọc Hưng, better known as Hanbin (stage name) is a Vietnamese trainee under the Belift Lab (formed by Bighit Entertainment and CJ E&M) in South Korea. His ultimate dream is to become a K-pop idol for which he has been working really hard every day and night.

He started by forming his own dance cover group named C.A.C back in Vietnam through which he has shown not only his amazing dancing skills but also his impeccable leadership skill. He has shown various concepts through his dance covers and won many hearts all over the world. Hanbin also won "Best Player" at Hanoi Kpop Random Dance in public 2018. The dance crew C.A.C has won several K-pop dance cover competition over the years and have gained recognition. Check out their youtube channel here.

After auditioning for various companies, Hanbin was accepted by Belift Lab as a trainee and luckily after 11 months of training, he was able to participate in a survival show named I-LAND where 23 trainees competed with each other to debut as a 7 member K-pop group.

So, let's talk all about Hanbin and why fans believe that he will be a great K-pop idol. We'll describe his qualities in three parts that are needed to be a K-pop idol:

1. Personality:

Kind, Sincere, Hard-working, Bright, Angel, Sunshine, Healing, Warm, Positivity, and Comfort. These are some of the words that are used by fans to describe Hanbin and for a good reason. He has shown his good personality and kindness throughout the entire show, winning everyone's heart.

Since the first episode of the show, he has shown his bright nature and positive mindset despite being the first trainee to be eliminated and dropped to the ground. Whenever he was shown, he was always adorned with the brightest smile and twinkling eyes. What makes everyone in awe of him is his determination and never-ending hope for his dreams. He works really hard and has shown great potential to be an idol.

He was always seen comforting everyone and helping them through their hard times. In the second episode of the show, he learned the choreography quickly to help everyone in the ground to learn it for their first task. When one of the trainees was downhearted for not doing well in the first task, Hanbin comforted him sincerely and encouraged him.

"It's ok because we did our best."

"You practiced so hard."

"Don't cry, I'm here for you."

Even though he never got the chance to go to I-Land throughout part 1 of the show, he never gave up. He encouraged everyone and worked hard together as a group. He was always seen smiling, taking every criticism with great sincerity and improving every week. Selfless, being genuinely happy for others, sunshine, inspiring, hard-working are some of his most noticeable traits throughout the show.

Luckily, he was able to get into 2nd part of the show and continue to compete and work hard for his dreams. The fans also describe him as an angel in disguise for his always happy attitude, comforting nature and hyping up everyone. He also tries his best to solve any conflicts among the teams with positivity and he gives the best advice. He always listened to everyone's concerns and helped them.

His smile never left him even when he got eliminated from the show at the semi-final. He encouraged his fans to support his friends who reached the finals of the show. He promised to work harder and debut which gave hope to his fans. He showed his beautiful personality to the world and his fans aspire to be like him.

In one of the TMI Q&A videos, Hanbin was asked "What's the most important thing in human relationship?" by one of the trainees.

His answer was "Sincerity". He emphasized how sincerity was so important. He never failed to live up to his own words. Everyone can feel his sincerity in everything he does.

Also, another trainee straight up asked him why is he so nice which concludes even the people he spent his time with for three months, competing for his debut, acknowledges his warm heart and kind nature.

He has been complimented multiple times by the mentors for his positive nature and referred to him as a good student which every teacher would love to teach. They described him as someone who takes criticism well and someone who is always willing to learn.

When C.A.C (the dance crew he formed) was asked to describe Hanbin in one word, they answered "One word is not enough to describe Hanbin but if we had to choose, it would be Warm."

2. Talents:

Let's talk about his talents. It's not an exaggeration to say that Hanbin is an all-rounder. Throughout the show, he has amazed everyone with his immense talent. With less than a year of training, he has shown great potential to be a star.

He has been known for his dancing even before the ILAND show. With various concepts of dance covers even before his trainee days shows his immense talent in dancing. He has great facial expressions in every dance covers he has done. In the show, he has shown his great ability to learn choreography quickly and has shown really cool performances. From the first episode to the last episode, he has never disappointed his fans, not even once.

He entered the show with the "Jopping" performance in which he not only slayed the dance choreography but amazed everyone with his rap. He has shown the potential of becoming a great rapper in his entry performance. His rap tone and pronunciation are really nice. He slayed that iconic jopping rap.

The fans were expecting him to be the rapper of the group but he once again surprised his fans by showing potential to be a great vocalist in the show. When the applicant version of their signal song "Into The ILand" dropped, everyone was surprised by his pleasing and unique vocals. He also had high notes part in the "Fire" performance which was kinda surprising as he was supposed to be a rapper. He wasn't perfect but he performed really well and showed he is not only a dancer and rapper but also a vocalist. He worked hard and improved his vocals throughout the show.

The other trainees have spoken multiple times about Hanbin's vocal, mentioned how good he is at singing live and given him the important vocal parts during line distribution. Also in the official version of the "I&Credible" song, he was given important vocal parts to sing.

In their 1st test in part 2 of the show, he slayed the "DNA" performance. His DNA performance is talked about a lot. Some of the fans of original artists are really satisfied with the performance and have shown great support to Hanbin. Hanbin was seen really enjoying the performance in his fancam. He was vibing to the song even when he wasn't in the camera.

In the second test, he once again proved his talents with a wonderful performance. "Dive Into You" Hanbin was iconic. His vocals, facial expressions and dancing were flawless and marvelous. He improved so much and gave us a wonderful performance. He got 4th rank during global voting after this performance and gained more and more recognition among the fans.

Even though he got eliminated after his semi-final performance "Flame On", it doesn't mean that he didn't do great. He was amazing and he absolutely slayed that performance as well. He is very natural on stage and has an amazing stage presence. He really has star quality.

3. Visuals:

Hanbin's visuals are not talked about enough which needs to be changed. Hanbin has really unique and beautiful visuals and people should start talking about it more. Hanbin's facial features are really very beautiful. He has a small face and a sharp jawline. He has beautiful, big eyes that sparkle whenever he smiles or get excited and his eyelashes are really long making his fans jealous of his beauty. He has really cute full pouty lips and fluffy cheeks which call fans to pinch it. Adorned with a beautiful smile, Hanbin is really handsome. All of his fans were in awe when the show dropped his selfie.

Now let's talk about his fans and their achievements as a fan. Hanbin's fans are called Hannies, a beautiful name for a beautiful fandom.

Hannies Achievements:

His fans are very dedicated and have achieved a lot of things in a small span of time.

1. Hannies dedication towards Hanbin is no joke. They really outdid themselves during the 1st global voting in the I-Land show and secured his place in the 2nd part of the show. And during the 2nd global voting, he was ranked 4th receiving the debut badge for a week.

2. Hannies have also put on advertisements for Hanbin in Myeongdong.

3. Hannies are known as monsters at streaming videos. His fancams are always highest in views. All of his fancams (Fire, I&Credible, DNA, Dive Into You and Flame On) are in the top 15 among all the fancams of 23 trainees. His DNA fancam has reached 1 million views on 19 October 2020 making him the first I-LAND trainee to achieve this milestone.

4. After Hanbin's elimination in the semi-finals, it wasn't easy for Hannies. But they came back stronger and united after Hanbin dropped his sweet thank you video for the fans. Hannies being the only fandom getting a thank you video among eliminated trainees of the show.

5. Hannies united together to do various charity work under Hanbin's name. Before becoming a K-pop trainee, Hanbin has raised 6 cats back in Vietnam. He has also created an Instagram account "hubi.cats" for his cats. Seeing his love for animals, Hannies adopted more than 55 animals of 47 different species under his name. 6. Not only they adopted animals, but Hannies are also planting trees to save nature. It is said that they have planted over 100 trees under his name.

7. Hanbin has mentioned during the show that he wants to donate after debuting. Hannies took it upon themselves to start donating on behalf of him. They have donated over 1M grains of rice on freerice.com

8. Hannies have donated for various projects. Some of them are:

• Honeybee conservancy
• BẮP’s SMILE- donation for the cleft surgery for children.
• For C.A.C 4th anniversary, Hannies donated to Blue Dragon Children's Foundation
• VUI TRUNG THU Project by Hannies in Vietnam and there is a video of the festival which can be found here.
• Hannies from all over the world donated 80 million VND to help Central Vietnam in a tough time.

9. Hannies have bought land on the moon under his name located in the Lake of Happiness and also named a satellite that will be launched to Mars in 2026.

10. Hannies have also bought stars for their star Hanbin.

11. Hannies have also bought land in Scotland under his name.

12. Since his elimination, Hannies have created various events to keep up the heat for Hanbin and encouraging each other to wait patiently for Hanbin's debut. Some of the events are:

15. On 20 October 2020, it was announced that Hanbin will have his very own online fan event on 31 October 2020, surprising the fans as he was the first trainee to have this.

Somehow a K-pop trainee with a pure heart brought together thousands of people from different countries, speaking different languages, having different cultures with a common dream of seeing him as a K-pop idol. His dreams became Hannies dreams. Hannies aspire to be as kind and gentle as him. As a fan, Hannies have done tons of good deeds under his name. Hanbin's and Hannies connection is really pure and cute. Hannies are not just a fandom, they are one big family who supports each other as much as they can and Hannies will wait for Hanbin's debut.
