Okay, so here is a short list of techniques and apps you should be using in 2020 to get your music noticed!!!

So, as you may have noticed 2020 seems like a pretty good year to get virality. Especially with the rise in many influencers, Youtubers, and bloggers being the focal point of today’s influence-as many are preferring organic, authentic content over scripted commercial branding. So now it’s easier than ever to build up your brand!! And even build up some internet fame!!!

But, since there is plenty of competition out there-it can be both a good and bad thing. This is why you must establish a unique image of yourself that stands out apart from the rest.

Be sure to post regularly and reach out to blogs/podcasters/licensees (growing your circles)

So, I have a couple of apps and websites you should consider for getting the word out there. This list will be updated- but I allow for the most popular websites you should be using today in the year 2020.

Tiktok- With over 1 billion users to date- and a total of over 1.5 billion downloads to date! Tiktok is quickly becoming one of the most downloaded apps in the world....Even outdoing famous platforms such as Instagram- So, looks like it’s safe to say you should start your Tiktok marketing strategy and begin to market your music on this app. The app is centered around sounds and essentially “music”. You heard? “Music” . And with that being said it’s definitely the app you should be on if you’re an artist and are trying to get your music noticed!! Plus plus- if you distribute your music to Tiktok you can get paid $$$ for every time a user uses your songs in their Tiktok videos!! For now, Instagram and Facebook aren’t as essential! You should be using Tiktok!

How do I get my music on the Tiktok app?

When you distribute your music using: this link be sure to look at all the store providers to choose from on the list. Within the list of providers- you will see Tiktok. Be sure to put a check mark next to Tiktok if you prefer to distribute your music on there.

Also, whether you plan on, or already happen to have a Soundcloud, you definitely should plan on getting one if you haven’t already. Another important note of getting noticed is to post your music in as many places as possible so that you really are getting your feet out there and spreading the word this is a necessity.

What would be next once I open a Tiktok?

Try asking people within your circles such as family, friends, and supporters to follow you. Also, if you happen to have some artist friends- ask them to join you and explain to them why Tiktok would be a great place to join. And also, be sure to follow and engage with them as well. Tiktok leaves you with many options as well as some of the options to duet, to re-use their sounds, or to do reactions. Whatever may fit your interests- you and the other person can agree or disagree on whatever they choose to do. But duets are a great way to grow on the platform, using trending hashtags, and following users within your circle or of your interests are some great ways to expand. If you expect your music to expand on the platform invite people to do contests using your song- alone with some of Tiktoks trending hashtags.

2 Next-be sure to-volunteer to use your artist friends music in your videos if they ask you to as well- this builds your circle and you and the other person can benefit.

3 Next-Create a composition of the strategy for your next plan. For example, many viral Tiktokers like for example LilNasx started out with a viral Tiktok song used across many Tiktokers!!! And they organized stuff like a competition or hashtag. Remember to get your people involved and they can use hashtags and your music on the Tiktok app. And don’t forget to tell them to use your music to be considered in your contest.

Also, follow lots of people within your niche , leave comments on their videos, and also be sure to like some videos on Tiktok. If you don’t have people immediately going to you- leave comments on popular Tiktokers pages telling them to use your music in their Tiktok videos and/or to participate in your next contests. You can even message some of them. But you have to follow people on this app if you want to message them. In this case, I would just consider commenting on their videos.

*I’m not seeing any results so far?

Don’t worry 😉- keep pushing if it’s meant to be -your music will get the notoriety it needs to. In the meantime, give it a try-if you fail, learn and maybe try something different- or move on to something else. Either way, patience, learning and trying are definitely key 🔑 to success!!! Also, another thing to consider is opening up in your inner circles. Ask people to share your music or ask them to listen 👂 or buy your music. But don’t force them to do so, this makes you seem annoying and pushy. In other words, this method does not work. Just remember, ask kindly if the other person would like to check out your music. Also, another thing to consider- be considerate and also note that people are busy have jobs, got lives , and they could be busy. Give them an incentive to want to listen to or buy your music. One of the examples, like, a giveaway. Free merch, a sneak peek into your Spotify album, or something like a free merch giveaway. You know, make it worth their while. People aren’t just going to listen to you because you put a link out there telling them to listen or to buy your music. No- you’ve got to give them a reason to do so. Everyone’s time is important. Make it worth their while.

*Another thing to consider to do is that you must remember how important it is to engage with the people within your niche. You must expand upon your fans, supporters, family & friends. You will need more than just that to do the trick! Start by engaging with people who are looking out for your interests. Also, another important thing to remember is interaction. Remember to build a personal relationship with your circles and fans. Interact and engage with them. Like their stuff once in a while and maybe comment. And if they seem interested, you can take or use that as some opportunity to tell them to listen or buy your music. And remember what I stated before, don’t be too pushy, just let them know but don’t force them to do anything. And if you can, try to make an incentive as to why they should listen to or buy your music. This method usually works and you should consider trying.

*Next, if your people agreed to listening to or buying your music-leave them with the option open to share your music. Kindly ask them if they would like to share your music and tell them your purpose, or give an incentive as i’ve stated to you before.

*Another thing to do- Post your music to Facebook groups and collaborate with other fellow artists. These people are willing to grow and would love to help you grow- be sure to link up with them and maybe even do a collaboration of some sort with them.

Get a music publishing license or deal-

This is another way to get your music out there- as well as earning royalties, getting song licensing meant for you and your music and getting deals like playing music in TV 📺 shows , commercials and live TV and you get paid more than streaming services offer $$$ :
