Hey guys! Friday's Five at 5 Volume Four coming for you. It's been an awesome month of music so far and thank you all for reading along and supporting new music!

If you would like to get involved by sending in artists you love or even be featured yourself, don't hesitate to shoot me a message on Instagram or Twitter (links at the bottom of the story; read it first!)

Thank you to everyone who sent in music to be featured this week, this series IS all about what you guys enjoy.

Here is Friday's Five at 5—Volume Four.

1. "Why Am I Like This" | Orla Gartland

Irish "weirdo guitar pop" musician Orla Gartland is pretty damn cool (thanks to Friday's Five at 5 supporter Steph for requesting—we love you!). With her Why Am I Like This EP being released recently and following two sold out headline shows, there is no doubt that her fans are screaming with excitement for music. And after listening to this track, so am I.

"Why Am I Like This" tells the beautiful story of self understanding and self acceptance, supported by Orla's stunning soothing yet powerful vocals and synth-pop track. Every time I listen to the song, I just want more! It feels like the kind of song that would be in a rom-com movie soundtrack or a tune you'd listen to looking out of a rainy car window.

All four tracks on the Why Am I Like This EP are catchy, easy to sing along to, and her vocals are just so cool. I especially like "Overthinking (Demo);" it has an unexpected, different sound to the track and is so damn groovy.

"This is definitely the best version of myself yet…"

Let's hope this Irish beauty tours down under soon; I'll be there for sure.

2. "Weight of Feeling" | Abbey Gardner (Abbey Lane)

Sydney Indie-Pop Powerhouse Abbey (Credit: Abbey Lane Music)

This Sydney Alternative Indie Pop gal is one to look out for, bursting into the music scene in her Doc Martens and ridiculously powerful vocals. The young artist takes inspiration from the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, Matt Corby, and Passenger, and her newest single "Weight of Feeling" doesn't fall short talent-wise.

The track shows off her stunning voice and fits in well with the current music scene. It's an easy to listen to, soothing track, and is super well-produced. Sydney is missing young Aussie girls in the electronic indie-pop scene, and Abbey is definitely filling that gap.

Recently working alongside songwriters in Nashville, Abbey has some new tracks including "Hideaway," which she has uploaded a super cool video of up on her Facebook page.

3. "Favourite Ex" | Maisie Peters

I am obsessed with Maisie Peters' voice. This 18-year-old English singer-songwriter's voice will absolutely captivate you in her latest release "Favourite Ex"—requested by my dear friend, Alicia.

With almost 3.5 MILLION monthly listens on Spotify, one must wonder how this young artist has become so successful. Playing shows in both Nottingham and London in November, Maisie has her fair share of fans. Well, she's got another one right here. Her newest song, "Favourite Ex," is an acoustic, Passenger-esque track. Actually, it's almost like she is the female version of Passenger. The similarities in both the vocal and songwriting styles are uncanny.

This one is definitely going on my playlist of loved songs.

4. "The Reason" | Hatakaze

Local Sydney Punk Rock Band Hatakaze (Credit: Hatakaze)

Punk Rock band Hatakaze is next level cool. Like Foo Fighters/Jimmy Eats World cool. Pronounced "Ha-tah-kah-zee," this Sydney-based band is making waves in the underground music scene playing venues such as The Hideaway Bar.

This band features Ryan Cramp on vocals, Ash on guitar, and Lou Harbidge on bass (Yay! Another female bass player!), and they know how to tear the place down. "The Reason" has an awesome, rock guitar sound, and you could mistake the vocals for being that of the Foo Fighters.

Thanks to Friday's Five at 5 reader Sams for requesting these guys—they're awesome, and so are you.

5. "Snow White" | Regular Band

Friday's Five at 5 reader Sams (also part of the awesome Sydney band DryDock) is featured a second time in this week's edition, with "Snow White" by Regular band, following up from Hatakaze. Think Nirvana when you listen to this Alt-Rock group from sunny Brisbane, with their thunderous drums and strong guitar and vocals screaming out to you to listen.

"Snow White" is a powerful anthem, which mixes soothing psychedelic vocals with upbeat, rock-heavy ones, taking you on a musical journey in just four and half minutes.

Regular Band has headlined their own shows as well as experienced playing radio events, bars and festivals.

"Sometimes it's the regular things in life that surprise you the most."

That's all from me this week, hope you've enjoyed this week's Friday's Five at 5! PLEASE read and share to your hearts content as it helps me a LOT, and more importantly LISTEN TO THE ARTISTS!
