1. "Raise the Alarm" | NOT A BOYS NAME

Aussie Indie-Pop Artist NOT A BOYS NAME (Collage Art: Talya Jacobson)

NOT A BOYS NAME (a.k.a. Dave Jenkins Jr.) is back with another incredible hit.

This awesome multi-instrumentalist is showing the indie-pop scene what he's made of and after two huge releases, 'Hazard Perception Test' and 'Cut It Off,' it doesn't look like he's slowing down any time soon!

'Raise the Alarm' is a vibey, chilled track with a strong message about looking after our planet. And it couldn’t have come at a better time with everything happening right now.

After seeing NABN live I can guarantee this guy is pure t-a-l-e-n-t. And YOU can catch him at The Vanguard Newtown alongside Georgia June TOMORROW NIGHT! Tickets are only $10 so get them quick!

This one has made my week. Thanks Dave for another groovy tune.

Check out 'Raise the Alarm' below!

2. "Feel It" | Yuto

Melbourne Based Electronic Duo Yuto (Collage Art: Talya Jacobson)

Yuto is making a strong return to Friday's Five at 5 with their new track, 'Feel It' released just yesterday!

Having worked on the song for a year and a half, Coben and Daylan McDonald have worked alongside fellow Melbourne artist Dominique to produce a really cool, unique track.

Dominique's vocals really add to the dreamy, moody vibe that is 'Feel It.' It is well produced and put together and compositionally quite beautiful.

"'Feel It' has been the longest track for us to finish... it has taught us to trust the process and learn to listen to people close to us."

What a vibe. Congrats guys!

3. "TALK DEEP" | E^ST

Aussie Indie-Pop Superstar E^ST (Collage Art: Talya Jacobson)

Here we have another artist on the Friday's Five at 5 lineup that miiighttt be a little big for us (but nonetheless we love) is Aussie grown superstar E^ST.

At such a young age, E^ST (Melisa Bester) has seen her career skyrocket, as she was recently signed with rock label Fueled By Ramen alongside the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Paramore (!!), and Panic! At The Disco who she supported on the local leg of their tour last year.

After the release of her new EP Life Ain't Always Roses last year, E^ST is back with an absolute KILLER of a track.

'TALK DEEP' is fun and easy to listen to, and when the chorus hits you cant help having a groove. Her vocals are unique, grungy and rocky yet compliments the indie-pop track well.

Thanks to long time Friday's Five at 5 reader Steph for the recommendation; new fave artist alert!

Check out E^ST below!

4. "Abagail" | Vast Hill

Dreamy Duo Vast Hill (Collage Art: Talya Jacobson)

The third artist this week to make a return to the Friday's Five at 5 line-up is the amazing synth pop duo Vast Hill.

The duo (Elle Kress and Adin Milo) have just released their debut album, More Than You Imagined, and according to Tone Deaf, "is undoubtedly going to be one of your favourite releases this year."

Their latest single 'Abagail,' which features as track six on the album, is a synth pop dream. With groovy-as-ever beats and beautifully slick vocals, this spell-binding song is sure to get you dancing like its 1981.

Do yourself a favour and have a listen to this track, as well as their whole album. Now we wait for an album tour announcement!

Check out Vast Hill below!

5. "Follow" | Ruby May

Sydney Based Singer-Songwriter Ruby May (Collage Art: Talya Jacobson)

Last but most certainly not least, Sydney songstress Ruby May is back with a bang after the release of 'Chasing the Sun' back in 2017.

Starting out in 2014 with her debut EP Wanderer which saw a sold out show at The Spectrum in Darlinghurst, Ruby has gone through a long and sometimes hard journey, which led to diving deeper and discovering herself as a new artist and person.

'Follow' sees Ruby leave behind her folk roots, falling into a more dream-like electronic vibe. The soft tones of her voice go hand in hand with the raw lyrics and gorgeous, flowy track.

Thanks to OG Friday's Five at 5 reader Olivia for this one. Keep an eye out for more magical music from Ruby May.
