“She’s Like the Wind” is a song by American actor and singer Patrick Swayze, from 1987. The song is on the soundtrack of the movie “Dirty Dancing.” It charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and went to number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song was co-written by Swayze and Stacy Widelitz. After the movie the song became a big hit.

“Wind of Change” is a song by West German rock band Scorpions and on their eleventh studio album Crazy World from 1990. It is a power ballad that was composed and written by the lead singer of the band Klaus Meine and produced by Keith Olsen and the band. The lyrics were written by Meine after the band visited the Soviet Union at the height of perestroika. The song is also on their 1995 live album Live Bites, their 2000 album with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Moment of Glory and on their 2000

“Ride Like the Wind” is the debut single by American singer and songwriter Christopher Cross. The song came out in 1980 and is the lead single from Cross’s Grammy-winning 1979 self-titled debut album. It features backing vocals by American singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Michael McDonald and a guitar solo by Cross.

“My Friend the Wind” is a song by Greek singer Demis Roussos and is on his 1973 album Forever and Ever. The song was written by Alec R. Costandinos and Stellos Vlavianos and produced by Roussos. It has a Spanish-language version “Mi amigo el viento.” The song went to number one in the Netherlands and Belgium.

“Blowing in the Wind” is a song written by American singer and songwriter Bob Dylan in 1962. It is on his album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan from 1963. The song has been described as a protest song. In 1994 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and in 2004 was ranked at number 14 on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

“Wind Beneath My Wings” is a song that was written by Jeff Silbar and Larry Henley in 1982. The song was first recorded in 1982 by American singer and recording artist Kamahl for his country and western album. Other versions of the song have been produced. However, it became popular when American singer and actress Bette Midler recorded it for the soundtrack of the movie “Beaches” in 1988. This version won the Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 1990.

“Dust in the Wind” is a song by the American progressive rock band Kansas. It was written by band member Kerry Livgren and is on their 1977 album Point of Know Return. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the band’s only single to make it to the Top Ten in the US. The RIAA certified it Gold.

“Colors of the Wind” was written and composed by American composer Alan Menken and American musical theater lyricist and compose Stephen Schwartz for Walt Disney Pictures 33rd animated feature movie, “Pocahontas” in 1995. The song was originally recorded by American singer and actress Judy Kuhn in her role as the singing voice of Pocahontas. The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and the Grammy for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television, or Other Visual Media and the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

“Candle in the Wind” is a threnody (a wailing ode, song, hymn, or poem of mourning composed or performed as a memorial to a dead person.) It was written by English singer, pianist, and composer Elton John and songwriter Bernie Taupin. The song was written in 1973 in honor of American actress Marilyn Monroe. In 1997, John performed a rewritten version of the song, “Candle in the Wind 1997” as a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales. It is at number 347 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
