Eurovision 2022 has opened its doors for this year's participants

This year the 40 participants will duel for the grand prize, but also for the fame brought by the first place. Among this year's favorites is wrs, the one that will represent Romania in the second semifinal. He will take to the stage in Turin performing the song "Call Me". The song "Llamame" sung by WRS, was the refrain of the day at the first official rehearsal held by the Romanian representative on the Eurovision Song Contest stage in Turin. Romania's rehearsal was the most watched moment of the day on the official TikTok channel of the music competition. With a new costume and modified choreography, WRS and the team of dancers prepared an electrifying moment in which the artist tore his shirt specially made for this show. The piece of clothing was designed with 200 staples, which helped WRS to catch the first appearance on the competition stage, just before the last refrain.

"The first contact with the Eurovision scene gave me even more confidence in Romania's project. I feel that my place is here right now and I am very motivated for everything to come. The long rehearsal and inspiration sessions turned into overnight the excitement that "Llamame" rhythms impress fans of the contest, "WRS said at the end of the first rehearsal session.

"The movement that broke my shirt was prepared with Antonia Nae, an internationally experienced designer who created all the outfits for the stage, and repeated in the studio before leaving for Turin. I am very happy that it turned out as we wanted ", revealed our representative.

Romania's rehearsal was the most watched moment of the day on the official TikTok channel of ESC 2022, gathering over 130 thousand views, 12 thousand appreciations and over 1200 redistributions. The Romanian delegation had a very busy schedule after arriving in Turin on Tuesday, with rehearsals scheduled, the technical meeting in the Viewing Room, the first press conference, interviews and photo sessions.

After the rehearsal, the director Aurel Badea, Gabriel Scîrlet, the music director, together with the artists and Iuliana Marciuc, the head of the Romanian delegation, discussed the details of the show, in Viewing Room, with the technical team of the hosts. The specialists then drew the conclusions and adjusted the last details, and the second rehearsal session will take place on Friday, May 6. Qualified following the national selection on March 5, wrs will take the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on May 12, in the second semifinal of the competition, having the number 13 entry in the competition. Along with Romania, in the second semifinal participate: Australia, Georgia, Cyprus, Serbia, Finland, Azerbaijan, San Marino, Israel, Malta, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Northern Macedonia, Sweden, Estonia and Ireland. Eurovision semifinals and final, May 10 and 12 and May 14, respectively. The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will be the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. The contest will take place in Turin, Italy, on May 10, 12 and 14, 2022, after Italy won the 2021 edition with the song "Zitti E Buoni" performed by the rock band Måneskin.

40 countries will participate in the 2022 edition, after Russia was disqualified as a result of the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine. The Eurovision Song Contest is organized by the European Broadcasting Union, the world's foremost alliance of public service media, representing 116 member organizations in 56 countries and an additional 34 Associates in Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Americas.
