BG Could be Home In April
The rapper may experience liberty again, soon.
After nearly fourteen years, rapper BG may be coming home. Also, he might be riding the into a cool million dollars via rapper/ mogul Gucci Mane.
As a result of a gun bust which yielded two illegal weapons and a sentence including witness tampering, Christopher N. “B Gizzle” Dorsey may see freedom once more. But is this a good thing for him?
Sure, that million dollars may seem enticing, but what about the free health care, dental care, cool air when it’s hot, warm air when it’s cold, and the free education? The music industry provides none of these things to artists unless specified in contracts.
BG might not want to stay behind bars, but he should consider his options of keeping away from the world. Many people live in jail and just come out into the world for a short stint before committing recidivism.
This is a call for BG to be a model citizen if he is allowed back from behind the wall.
When he is finally released, it will be among the other former prisoners who will have to return to a life but not necessarily the lifestyle that landed them in bondage.
Clearly, if BG is smart, he will discover that any deal to respark his rap career should be a sign that he can operate like a civilized human being rather than a low-down thug.
To take into account all of the years he’s served, it should give anyone with a smidgeon of common sense to remember the fact that a record of a conviction will forever brand him as a formerly incarcerated individual.
For everything he might do, in the eyes of the law, he will be remembered as someone who could receive more time if found guilty of another crime.
Gucci Mane’s offer appears to be an act of good faith depending on whether BG plans to behave himself in proper company everywhere he goes. If he is able to decide to take the deal, he will give up the days of what some call Nigger University.
Prison numbers swell with blacks based on charges from drugs, primarily. Apt planning of staying away from miscreants and other former criminals should be on the agenda. Any illegal activity should remind him to remove himself from any precarious situations.
The power of the justice system could crush the spirit. Being a celebrity among the general population seemed to not bear heavily on the hip hop artist.
The “Bling Bling” rapper ought to recognize that a magnifying glass and a flashlight will be put up his ass at every parole appearance. He should be ready to walk liberally if he has been truly rehabilitated.
By being a convicted felon, he will be scrutinized even more. He will be looked at differently than he was when he first went into prison. He will be followed and found to be a criminal that could go back behind bars at any unfortunate incident.
For every way that he could improve himself, he should read Ayn Rand’s The Virtue of Selfishness (1964). It is in this book that he might discover a proper morality. It may be quite a while before he gets the chance to fully realize his place in the hip hop universe. If BG is smart, he will go down the path to using that possible million dollars to further educate himself concerning the law.
So with BG’s business acumen as a founder of Chopper City Gorilla Gang (CCGG) group, he should be able to partner with fellow entrepreneur Gucci Mane. The route to the success he enjoyed before prison should be paved with his capacity to use ethics. He should rap well again, too.
