The history of music in Mexico is in tune with the political and social history of the country, even from pre-Hispanic times, through the time of colonization and the modern world. In this case we will target a specific genre and select - with the help of Hard Rock

Café Tacuba

Who doesn't like at least one song from Café Tacuba? All the Mexican influence, from different regions, has made them Grammy winners, and without a doubt, and despite everything that surrounds this band, they continue to be daring and creative Mexican rock musicians.

La Lupita

La Lupita has a great sound, Héctor Quijada's voice is great, Lino Nava's guitar is the best in the country and what they play is good for everyone who is listening to it, just because. An ordinary day until death.

Caifanes

They can't be off the list, just because they were the best for a long time. There is something that is still hypnotic, nostalgic and even a little melancholy in all of this. This is a great song.

A Band Of Bitches (Jonaz)

Jonaz, former member of Plastilina Mosh, is a great soloist. He came out of Plastilina Mosh well and made his career a great musical adventure in which there were no limits, he continues to be musically very funny and with an exquisite taste for creation.

Maldita Vecindad y los Hijos del 5to Patio

The fusion of rock, ska, reggae, punk with danzón and bolero has always made "La Maldita" a band to celebrate any moment. Pioneers, along with Mano Negra and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, of mestizo rock like everything Mexican.

La Castañeda

La Casta is another band that isn't danceable, but I don't care, who's reading this doesn't like a song by this band? It is a benchmark of national rock, and they are great.

Santa Sabina

It's hard to find a danceable or handsome song by Santa Sabina, but it's a great band. Everything about them is fascinating. What buts do they put to Santa Sabina? I myself answer: none.

La Cuca

I like cuca, I really like this album in particular. But if you keep reading, you know that La Cuca not only deserves her own note but also several undergraduate theses from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters; molotov what? You can play more La Cuca songs and have rock and alcohol or whatever you listen to and whatever you drink.

Sonido Gallo Negro

I care very little what people think of this band. I love it, it makes me feel like I'm in a sonidero with movie projections of the saint. That's a joke. I have nothing more to say.

La Barranca

La Barranca is the best Mexican band of all time. Those who think otherwise can ask my name from the newsroom, and we can see each other every Tuesday in the small esplanade of the Constituyentes metro and we will gladly resolve our musical differences as cavemen. Spot.

Zoé

Zoé is known for her unique style, which incorporates elements of Psychedelic Rock, Romantic Ballad and Psychedelic Music. Thematically, her songs? Written mostly by the singer León Larregui? which contain philosophical dyes that usually make use of allegories of the universe and space. A Mexican alternative rock band that has won multiple awards, including the Grammy and the Latin Grammy, formed in 1995 in Cuernavaca and made official in 1997 in Mexico City.

Carlos Santana

Carlos Humberto Santana Barragan (Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, July 20, 1947) is a Mexican nationalized American guitarist. In 1966 he founded the Santana band, a pioneer in fusing Latin music with rock.

Santana has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide (counting his band sales and his solo career). He has won ten Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards.2 He is married to Cindy Blackman, known for being the drummer for Lenny Kravitz. His brother Jorge Santana was also a musician, recognized for being one of the founders of the Malo group.

El Tri

El Tri is a Mexican rock band, founded and led by Alejandro Lora, after his departure from the band Three Souls in My Mind, in 1981.

The group has sold more than 30 million records in their career and has had five nominations for the Grammy Award12 under the category of Best Rock Album in Spanish for their albums: When you are not (1998), End of the century (1999), We Can't Fly (2001), and 35 Years and What's Still Missing (2005) and Best Rock Vocal Duo or Group Album for Alex Lora: Del Three a El Tri (40 songs from the soul. My mind and My clinging) (2009). In 1971 the Three Souls in My Mind participated in the Rock and Wheels Festival of Avándaro.

fobia

The band began its career in Mexico City in 1987, a time when there was little diffusion for rock groups in Mexico. The history they have about the formation of the band goes back to a concert of Las Insólitas Images of Aurora in 1987, De Lozanne breaks the key of his car and asks Huidobro for a "ride", with whom he talks about his musical concerns. and together they united their talents and form a group

Rodrigo y Gabriela

Rodrigo y Gabriela is a guitar duo originally from Mexico, who gained fame in Ireland and later in the rest of Europe. The members of the band are Rodrigo Sánchez (lead guitar) and Gabriela Quintero (rhythm guitar and percussion). In the words of Rodrigo himself, they have dedicated themselves to creating acoustic rock, although their compositions are influenced by Latin music, flamenco and Middle Eastern music, while using rhythmic, harmonic and melodic resources typical of rock and heavy metal.

Botellita de Jerez

Botellita de Jerez, later known as La HH Botellita de Jerez, was a Mexican rock band formed in Mexico City in 1983.

It had different lineups and members since its foundation, the original lineup being: Sergio Arau (guitar and voice, who separated from the group in 1988 and 2013), Armando Vega Gil (bass and voice) and Francisco Barrios (drums and voice). From 2014 to 2019 they performed under the name of La HH Botellita de Jerez (which had already been under this name from 1987 to 1997 and with the same lineup),2 with the following lineup: Armando Vega Gil on bass, Francisco Barrios on drums, Santiago Ojeda on guitar and Rafael González on keyboards and congas.

Maná

Maná is a Latin Pop band of Mexican origin founded in 1986 in Guadalajara, Jalisco. It is currently made up of Fher Olvera (rhythm guitar, harmonica and lead vocals), Juan Calleros, (bass and double bass), Álex González (drums and vocals) and Sergio Vallín (guitar and vocals). He has sold more than 40 million records worldwide.

The group has won four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, five Latin American MTV Video Music Awards, five Premios Juventud, twenty-four Billboard Latin Music Awards, one Billboard Icon Award and fifteen Lo Nuestro Awards.
