Tom Parker

British singer Bolton born Tom Parker started off auditioning on the X Factor UK but failed the first round. Parker joined a Take That tribute band known as Take That II and toured Northern England. He would later audition for another group which would later be called "The Wanted"

The Wanted was formed in 2009.They went on to work on their debut album and went on have further hits with songs like "Heart Vacancy", "Glad You Came", and "Chasing the Sun". The group would disband in 2014. On October 2020, Parker was on Stand Up to Cancer to tell everyone that he was diagnosed with brain cancer. The band would reunite in 2021 for the greatest hits album and perform at charitable events. On March 17 would be Parker's final performance with the Wanted.

On March 30, 2022, Parker succumbs to his cancer.

Parker leaves behind his bandmates, his wife and two children.

Jam Master Jay

Born as Jason William Mizell in Brooklyn, New York City. Mizell would work as DJ just to venture his music career. After he graduated high school, he joined Joseph "Run" Simmons and Darryl "DMC" McDaniels became their DJ and together they became Run-DMC. During the 1980s, Run-DMC became one of the biggest hip hop groups and are credited with breaking hip hop into mainstream music. Not only they gained popularity in music but gained popularity in hip hop fashion.

Mizell would established Jam Master Jay Records that would sign rapper 5o cent and hip hop group Onyx. On October 30, 2002, Mizell and 25-year-old Urieco Rincon were in the recording studio until shots were fired. Rincon survived but Mizell didn't. He leaves behind his daughter Tyra.

Freddie Mercury

Mercury born as "Farrokh Bulsara"born to Parsi parents who had emigrated from India to Zanzibar, where his father worked as a clerk for the British government until him and his family fled Zanzibar Revolution to England. He studied and written music for years, and formed his band Queen in 1970 with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. He changed his name from "Farrokh Bulsara" to stage name "Freddie Mercury". Mercury wrote numerous hits for Queen, including "Killer Queen", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Somebody to Love", "We Are the Champions", "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". He diagnosed with AIDS in '87 and passed away in 1991 at age 45.

Lopez has had her ups and downs while working her group TLC, her and her groups bankruptcies, dealing with her addiction with alcohol, and her tumultuous relationship with NFL Andre Rison. On April 25, 2002, Lisa and her crew were in Hondraus filming the final touches to her documentary, Lopez chose the red Mitsubishi Montero SUV. Lisa was in the driver's side driving, her sister Reign her brother Ronald Jr. and two producers were in the vehicle with her. While Lisa was driving through the highway, a truck approached from the other lane, forcing her to veer sharply to the left, striking two trees and then flipping over several times. Members of the R&B group Egypt were critcally injuried. Lisa didn't make it. Lisa died from her head trauma. She was 30.

Right around the time Lisa was venturing her label Left Eye Productions. Lopes wanted to make a girl group this time in her label. Reed met Ronald Lopes, Lisa's brother while she was singing jingles to earn extra cash and he introduced her to his sister. Reed formed the group Blaque with high school friend Shamari Williams and Brandi Williams. Their debut album was released on June 1, 1999 and made certified Platinum and has sold 1.5 million copies.

The group would made cameo apperance in Lil Kim's music video and would star in the 2000 film Bring It On. They would record their single "As If" for the film's soundtrack. Blaque worked on two unreleased albums in the mid-to-late 2000s before their disbandment in 2008. The group attempted a comeback in 2012 and a reality show. Unfortunately, that all changed on October.

On October 26, 2012, Reed struck by car at the north of Lilburn, Georgia. The driver attempted to perform CPR on Reed but it was too late. Reed died at the hospital. Reed leaves behind her son from her ex rapper Kurupt.

Chris Trousdale

Before Chris Trousdale was in a pop boy band, he was a Broadway kid. Trousdale performed on Les MisΓ©rables alongside with Ashley Tisdale and moved to New York to star in more Broadway shows. Around the time, he was approached by two producers who were putting together a boy band in New York City.

Fun Fact: According an interview with Famous Birthdays, Trousdale secretly kissed Ashley Tisdale (before she was a Disney star) and Lea Michele (before she was on Glee) while they were working on Broadway.

At 14, he joined a boy alongside pop star Jesse Mccartney before he became a mega popstar and Broadway Kids Greg Raposo. Their single "It Happens Every Time" was released on becoming a hit and the song would frequently play on Radio Disney. Their album was released on becoming number one on the Billboard charts. It would be Dream Street first and last album, then the group would star in a film called The Biggest Fan with Trousdale as the main role until they disbanded in 2002.

After the band split up, Trousdale tries to maintain a solo career.

He took time off from his music career but then later returned to audition for the Voice but never made it. However, Trousdale did maintain his acting career starring in Disney shows like Shake it Up and Austin & Ally.

Trousdale died at hospital from complications from Covid-19 but was later revealed by family an un illness. He was 34 years old. After Trousdales death, his former bandmates come together virtually and singing their song "It Happens Every Time" honoring his memory.

George Michael

English Pop Duo Wham! was formed by secondary childhood friends: Michael and Andrew Ridgeley. Before they were Wham!, Michael and Ridgeley were in a ska band alongside with his schoolmates. After the ska band split band, Michael and Ridgeley started working together as a duo band and naming their band Wham!.

They made their U.S. debut on Dick Clark's American Bandstand, becoming the only 1980s British act to have three No. 1 singles on both the U.K. and U.S. charts.

After the duo went off their separate ways, Michael went on for a successful solo career. Michael died on December 25, 2016 at his home in Goring-on-Thames.

Simone Battle

Simone Battle was a background dancer starring in music videos like Cali Swag District "Teach Me How to Dougie" and Mary Mary "Get Up"

Battle ventured off start her music career, she auditioned for the American singing competition The X Factor in front of judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Cheryl and L.A. Reid. Battle sang "When I Grow Up" by The Pussycat Dolls. The judges were impressed with Battle's vocals and gave her a "yes". After receiving three yeses from the judges, Battle had made it through to Bootcamp. She was mentored by Cowell after becoming one of the Top 32 finalists in the girls category. She would later be eliminated on the X factor. After she was eliminated, Battle would upload YouTube covers. She would join the girl group G.R.L. that would somewhat succeed in the industry.

Battle was going through financial issues leaving her feeling depressed. Battle was found hanging in her home. She was 25. GRL released "Lighthouse" on January 15, 2015 (three months after Battle's death).

Battle's family created a foundation in honor of Simone Battle.

Michael Jackson

Born in Gary, Indiana. Michael was the eighth sibling in the Jackson family living in a small house of 2300 Jackson Street.

It all started off when Michael's brother Tito was playing with their father's favorite guitar after a string broke, and he was impressed enough to buy him his own guitar. At first, Joe didn't consider Michael a part of the band but when he heard Michael's voice. Joe made Michael the lead singer of the group and together him and his brothers (Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon). They were signed with Motown, where they were the first group to debut with four consecutive number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the songs "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There". After their brother Jermaine left the group, Randy took his place and renamed the group "the Jacksons".

Michael went on Victory tour with his brothers and went solo becoming iconic solo artist.

On June 25, 2009, less than three weeks before Jackson was set to perform his first This Is It show in London, Jackson died of a cardiac arrest. He was 50 years old.

Bobby and Tommy Debarge

The Debarges were differently compared to the Jacksons, making hits like "Rhythm of the Night" and "I Like It"Before they were a family band, their brothers Bobby and Tommy were in a R&B group called Switch. After a demo was recorded, they got the attention from Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson 5 and would be later signed to RCA records. They recorded and released their self titled debut album some 18 months later in 1978, which featured their first Top 10 R&B hit single, entitled "There'll Never Be".

After Switch, Bobby served as both mentor and a co-producer of his siblings' band, DeBarge, eventually joining them to fill in for departing members El and Bunny. Throughout his time with Switch and the Debarge, Bobby was going through personal issues that has caused him to do drugs like crack, cocaine and heroin. Debarge has went to prison for drug trafficking in while he was there he was diagnosed with HIV and on succumbs to AIDS on August 16, 1995 leaving behind his wife and children. Tommy was suffering from kidney and liver failure then later died at the hospital at age 64.

Just when the sisters thought L.A. Reid was about to sign them to Laface Records, he actually wanted to sign Toni as a solo artist. They were disappointed but Traci, on the hand, showed Toni support by saying "go ahead" promising her and her sisters that she'll will come back for them and help them to be stars. After Toni's success, Toni kept her promise and help made her sisters become stars. Toni started making the Braxton sisters into a R&B group named the Braxtons. They released their debut album So Many Ways on August 6, 1996 but didn't get that much success.

According Tamar Braxton, it became a complete disaster and later Toni sticked to going solo while the sisters stayed out of the spotlight or sang backup for Toni until they gained popularity when they Braxtons Family Values. The show gained popularity and lead the sisters venture off their music career and a Christmas album. Traci released two solo albums that received mixed reviews. Traci was secretly battling cancer. The family kept her diagnosis away from the public until on 2022. Traci succumbs to her cancer diagnosis. Toni and her sisters announced the shocking news on social media.

Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain

Cobain formed Nirvana with Krist Novoselic and Aaron Burckhard in 1987 and established it as part of the Seattle music scene, which later became known as grunge.

Nirvana was signed to DGC Records in 1991 after their debut album Bleach received critical acclaim. The second album Nevermind made a huge phenomenal hit.

Just when Nirvana was at the peak of their success, Kurt Cobain spiraled out of control with his addictions. On April, Cobain has disappeared and hasn't seen by his friends,his bandmates, or anyone close to him. Cobains wife hired a private eye to find him but no luck until On April 5, 1994, Cobain's body was found at his home He was 27. Cobain's death was ruled a suicide. His wife Courtney reads his suicide letter to his fans on national television.

Chris Cornell

Unlike Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell is known to be the most prominent figure in the grunge movement during the 1990s. Chris Cornell was best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. The Soundgarden was formed in the 80s in Seattle, Washington. The Soundgarden would make hits like "Black Hole Sun" "Jesus Christ Pose" "Rusty Cage" and "Spoonman" until they would split up in 1997.

After the band split up, Cornell started another band called Audioslave in the 2000s. During his time with the bands, Cornell struggle with depression.

On May 17, 2017, He was found hanging at the MGM Grand Detroit around midnight. His friend and Linkin Park lead singer Chester Benninngton and sings "Halleujah"

Bennington has lived a tramatic life that included depression, bullying, and abuse. He joined the Linkin Park band in 1996.

Fun Fact: Linkin Park original name was β€œXero” changed to β€œHybrid Theory" then later changed to Linkin Park.

Linkin Park has made hits like "Numb", "Crawling", "Breaking the Habit" and "In the End". The band would gain popularity and huge recognition from the rock industry.

On July 20, 2017, which would have been Cornell's 53rd birthday, Bennington was found hanging at his home. Late Chris Cornell daughter Toni sings "Hallelujah” paying a tribute to Chester and her father.

Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, Betty McGlown, and Barbara Martin

The Supremes are known as the first sparkling ladies of Motown. Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson, Diana Ross, and Betty McGlown, the original group, were all from the Brewster-Douglass public housing project in Detroit.

Ever since they were signed to Motown, they had made 12 number one singles and populas recognition becoming the first African American R&B female group than Destiny's Child (before Destiny's Child took over their time).

Throughout the band, Ballard struggled with alcoholism, depression, and poverty for three years. She was making an attempt at a musical comeback until February 22, 1976 she died of a heart attack at the age of 32. On February 8, 2021, Mary Wilson died in her sleep at her home in Vegas.

Barbara Martin

Before it was called The Supremes, it was orginally named the Primettes. Betty McGlown was a part of the group in the early 1960s until she was replaced by Barbara Martin. Years after the group, she died of diabetes in January 2008 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan at the age of 66. As for Barbara, Martin died on March 4, 2020 in Detroit.
