Adrienne Houghton (Bailon)

We all remember Adrienne Bailon from the girl groups 3LW and Cheetah Girls. But how it all started was on October 24, 1983, Adrienne Bailon was born to a Puerto Rican mom named Nilda and an Ecuadorian father named Freddie in Lower East Side, New York City, New York. Adrienne always loved music. She actually started singing when she was five years old. Her and her sister would sing for their family a lot. So Adrienne knew that she was going to be a famous singer one day. That day came true one day while she was singing with church in Madison Square Garden, Ricky Martin approached her and asked if she and four other singers if they could sing backup for him at his concert that night.

Then in 1999, she joined one of the top girl groups called 3LW. They released their self-titled album 3LW and their first song "No More (Baby Imma Do Right)" in 2000. Their self-titled album went double platinum. Then they made two more albums with hits like "Playas Gon Play" and "I Do (Wanna Get Close)," then disbanded in 2007. Then she went to be with The Cheetah Girls, but sadly disbanded one year after the disband of 3LW. Adrienne had other dreams she wanted to fulfill. So she decided to try acting.

You may mostly remember her from the Disney Channel movie The Cheetah Girls, starring with Raven Symone, Sabrina Bryan, and fellow 3LW member Kiely Williams. They went on to do Cheetah Girls 2 and 3. Those movies really helped her get more TV shows and movie roles. Adrienne finally thought about something that she wanted. She wanted to stop singing and work on her life and acting career. She started dating Rob Kardashian, then appeared on the TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians for 13 episodes. Then the couple went their separate ways. She even appeared in more movies and TV shows like, That's So Raven, Coach Carter, and I'm In Love With A Church Girl. Her fame just kept getting bigger and bigger. She had decided to join a talk show with fellow Disney Channel star Tamera Mowry, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, and Tamar Braxton called The Real. The ladies really do know how to keep it real on the show. They talk about everything on the show. And I do mean EVERYTHING.

While working as a talk show host, she got engaged to Lenny Santiago, but then the couple broke off the engagement after a few months. Then a few seasons later, her and gospel artist Israel Houghton got engaged. The couple got married in Paris in 2016. What happened to Adrienne? Where is she now? Now Adrienne is a happily Christian married woman. And she is a beautiful step mother to Israel's children. And she is still working on The Real today. Adrienne hopes to have kids of her own one day. She is a very strong independent woman of God. I know she will be a wonderful mother one day. I would love for her to help me with fashion and make up tips. And maybe she could help me with my Spanish a little. She is back to singing again. Adrienne released her Christmas album New Tradiciones this year with a song called "The Gift." The album went to the number one spot in less than 24 hours. That is really a HUGE blessing for Adrienne and her family and friends. I am very proud of what she has done with her life.
