Jessie J was born Jessica Ellen Cornish on March 27, 1988. Jessie J is an Essex-based songwriter who signed to Universal, Universal, and Republic Records. He began his career by starring in Whistle Down the Wind, West End music.

Born and raised in London, Jessica Ellen Cornish (born March 27, 1988), [2] according to a career known as Jessie J, began her stage career at the age of 11 with a role in the West End musical Whistle Down the Wind. Other songs on the album include "Nobody's Perfect," "You Are", "Domino" and "Laserlight" all in the top ten in the UK, and make Jessie J the first British singer to have the top six songs from one studio album. After recording the best pop charts in the UK, Jessie J joined the BBC's Sound of 2011 list.

Following the release of her debut album You (2011), Jessie J's next song "Price Tag" has reached number two in the UK after coming off the charts in nineteen countries including the UK. His second song, titled "Price Tags", featured Bob's rap and put it at the top of the UK pop chart.

Following this success of songwriting, Jessie J signed an international recording contract with Universal Music Group. He released his third album, Sweet Talker, in October 2014 with the British single "Bang Bang," featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, which appeared at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. The success of the chart made him the first British singer access to the top six singles from one studio album.

Miley Cyrus recorded the song and reached number two in the US, giving Jessie J an important break in the pop music business. Jessie J gained fame following the release of her debut single "It's Just a Dude" after signing with the Universal Republic.

In 2015, Jessie J returned to the Top 20 UK single artists chart with the song "Flashlight" from the film song Pitch Perfect 2. The song was co-produced by Sia and Sam Smith. In September 2017, Jessie J released Think One as the first song on her upcoming album The Rose.

James Morrison's studio album, Awakening, featured a collaboration with Jessie J called "I Am," which was released on November 16, 2011.
