Featured here are some of our favorite finds in the past couple of weeks. The artist may be presently on our Artist Spotlight playlist or have found their way to one of mysoundMusic's genre specific playlist.

In no special order ...

Dream Legacy is a powerhouse rock band from Germany who are emerging as a standard bearer for music that defines the classic and progressive heavy rock sound adored by millions around the globe. The brainchild of Andy Paynes and Alan Medeiros, the six-piece band also comprises of members John Zell, Ryan Zell, Ebo Hösch, Michael Hauck, and renowned vocalist André Carswell.

miLarKey

miLarKey was formed back in 2006 by lead singer, Christian Gaffney. The lineup has gone through several changes over time. For this song, Resonate, Gaffney goes solo. miLarKey is London based and has recently started writing in a new genre: Alternative Awareness Rock. Spiritual lyrics sung to decent music not pan pipes!

Hyperiff

Hyperiff is a limitless rock band from metro Detroit. Drawing on inspirations from all genres, they aim to make waves with new and exciting music.

This is Hyperiff’s first of four singles that will be included on their 15 song album in the spring. The upcoming album “No More Kings” includes songs that explore genres of rock from soft to classic to metal.

Having always had a natural affinity for music, the Italian singer-songwriter, Arimatea, honed her craft over the years to become the artist that she is today; drawing experience from her time spent living in Italy, New Orleans, China and New York.

mystery_o and Kate McQuaide

Control, was created around the Kate’s unique vocal style. mystery_o wrote the song together, from the chords up (with her taking full control of the lyrical content) and built it into a 2-track EP alongside track 2, “Midnight Movies”.

Elephant in Siberia

Elephant in Siberia is an existential and artistic state of mind. It means not to feel completely belonging to the world we live in and alienated from the changes and the dynamics of our time.

Musically, this group tries to represent this estrangement by merging two genres which could be seen as far away from each other, but we feel they have in common an infinite expressive freedom.

Bob Salmieri Bastarduna Quintet

Bastarduna Quintet is the new lineup of Bob Salmieri, former band leader of Milagro Acustico and Erodoto Project. Groups located in Italy with a strong “Mediterranean” imprint.

Polyphonic Exophilia X Canek

Polyphonic Exophilia (abbreviated as PPXP) is a fresh music project formed in April/May 2021 and based out of the rural region called Hadeland, north of the Norwegian capitol Oslo.

Polyphonic Exophilia plays Jazz-funk and sensual progressive neo-soul. PPXP have already released three EPs this year, with a fourth EP arriving soon.
