For the most part, while music and television are both under the same umbrella of entertainment, the acts from both sides never seem to successfully cross over. It is hard for musicians to be taken seriously as actors, and for some reason even seemingly harder for actors to find success in music.

While of course there are the few like Falz The Bahd Guy who have been able to do it successfully, for the most part, it's hard to see people who find success doing both.

Today, we'll be counting down 7 Nollywood actors and actresses who you may not know have also pursued a career in music. Are you ready to jump in to see who they are? Then let's go!

1. Odunlade Adekola

Nigerian funny man and popular Yoruba actor Odunlade Adekola has also dabbled in music. Odunlade has released songs including Eba Mi Sope, Omo Baba, and Arike to moderate success. While most people know him and love him for his acting and comedy skills, it is interesting to hear his music. Give it a listen for yourself.

2. O. C. Ukeje

Another actor who has gone into music is Nigerian actor of movies such as Two Brides and a Baby and The Arbitration, O.C. Ukeje. You may not know this but for the blockbuster which he starred in, Potato Potahto, O.C. along with rapper Vector did the lead soundtrack song of the same name.

3. Anita Joseph

Another actress who has gone into music in the past is very popular Nigerian actress, Anita Joseph. Anita dabbled in music and released songs such as Nyem Something featuring Flavour, and Time No Dey. Full transparency - I actually like the song Time No Dey, it's really catchy.

4. Angela Okorie

One actress who has seemingly put her acting on a back burner to do more music is actress Angela Okorie who has been putting out music and accompanying music videos. Just as recently as one month ago, Angela dropped the video to her single, Legit. What do you think about it?

5. Pat Attah

Beloved Nigerian actor Pat Attah disappeared from our screens after dominating it for a very long time through the early 2000s. He resurfaced again about three years ago with a new song and music video titled Sunshine. About a year ago, he also featured on a song with Nneka called Something To Say. Seems Pat has really ditched acting to pursue his music career.

6. Femi Jacobs

Nollywood actor Femi Jacobs popular for movies like The Meeting and Omo Ghetto: The Saga also does music. Femi has released songs including Respect and Orun Si.

7. Shaffy Bello

Did you know that Shaffy Bello was part of the original Love Me Jeje song released by Seyi Sodomu in 1997?

Yup! She's even in the music video. While Shaffy was part of a very popular song, these days she doesn't sing as much professionally and has stayed pretty focused on her acting career.

Which of these people's music do you like the best and who do you think should go stay out of the recording studio? Let me know by leaving a comment on my Facebook post.

That's All.
