7 Nigerian Celebrities Clocking 30 This Year

The big 3-0. It is a big age. 30 is the age where people tell you officially that 'you're no longer a child anymore' and it's time to grow up and 'settle down'. 30 comes with a lot of expectation and a lot of societal pressure on where your life should be. At 30 the expectation is that one should have a steady high paying job, be either married, engaged, or seriously dating, and be thinking of moving into their own house with their own family.

Of course reality doesn't always match up with expectation especially during these times. This generation is living through some of the hardest times economically, dating is a headache, and owning a home has never been more expensive.

So, instead of looking at what people should have done or accomplished at 30, I propose that we instead just celebrate the fact that people have survived and found a way to thrive in this crazy world for thirty years. It's a big accomplishment, and for 7 Nigerian celebrities, this year they will finally be clocking the big 3.0. Are you ready to see which of your favorite celebrities will be clocking 30 this year? 1. Burna Boy

Nigerian heavyweight singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy was born on July 2nd 1991 meaning that come July 2nd, the African Giant himself will be turning the big 30!

2. Mr. Eazi

Leg Over singer Mr. Eazi is another big time singer that will be turning 30 this year. On July 19th this year, Mr. Eazi will join the 30 club.

3. Cynthia Morgan

German Juice crooner Cynthia Morgan is also going to be turning 30 come September 23rd of this year. The musician who has had an unfortunate series of events happen to her music career will have a lot to celebrate come September. She'll be clocking 30!

4. Linda Osifo

First runner-up of Miss Nigeria Entertainment Canada 2011 and 2nd runner up of Miss AfriCanada 2011, Nigerian beauty queen and actress Linda Osifo will also on the 27th of July be celebrating as she turns the big 30.

5. Chidinma

Kedike singer turned end-time warrior Chidinma turned the big 30 on May 2nd and with 30 for Chidinma came the announcement that she would be moving fully over to gospel music and now identifies as an end-time soldier.

6. Bimbo Ademoye

Funny and incredibly talented actress Bimbo Ademoye on February 4th clocked 30 and was showered with celebratory messages from her colleagues and fans all over social media. It's a big deal.

7. Tobi Makinde

Jenifa's Diary actor Tobi Makinde popularly known as Timini because of the character he plays on the show turned 30 today, the 16th of May. Happy Birthday to the talented actor and welcome to the big 30 club.

30 is a big deal. 30 years on this planet is no joke. Big cheers to everybody joining the 30 Club this year!
