2021 recap at mysoundMusic

I am going to keep this intro simple so I can get to sharing the music ... mysoundMusic was blessed to come across so many talented artist & musicians this past year. I wish I could include every one of the solo artist, duos, bands, producers and beat makers that I had the pleasure to assist because they all deserve to be included, however, I will have to limit it to just a few. But rest a sure, I will try to keep you updated through 2022 on as many of the artist as they release new songs, EPs, albums, projects & videos.

• Just A Vibe by Alex Koss

Alex Koss is a young artist from Germany , whose music can be described as a mix of melodic rap and modern RnB.

Just A Vibe was Koss' first song in English and a happy & smooth track to start 2021. Its funky bassline, bouncy 808-drums and atmospheric pads make it very catchy: “We both know that we gon´ be alright” – the tracks theme is romance and having a good time during these weird times we are in.

Swing Your Thing displays the talented composer, pianist & recording engineer as he indulges audience cravings for interesting arrangements while comprising a big band feel to previously mastered recordings reimagined to today’s standards.

Tony Marino privately catered this collection of songs to carry personal dedications from the memory of his in-laws, his father, his brother, and dear friends; to the tributes to his spouse and children

With You was a new single from Max Rahn’s 2021 album: Your Mind Is A Weapon, released April 2, 2021. This song was written and produced by Max Rahn with Freckles on background vocals and composer Joel Reyes on Trombone.

AHVE is an enigmatic artist with a warm soothing sound here to bring you that feeling of RnB music. The Feeling is a song with a sound that is going to warm your ears as well as your soul. It’s about that feeling that lingers. When you can’t quite put your finger on it but it’s there. That feeling of love when you see an old flame, your not in love but it’s that feeling that never really goes away and it drives you crazy.

• Bend or Break by Monokino

Monokino is the alias for Dutch composer George van Wetering. Hailed as “a free spirit that finds harmony with disparate elements and a pattern without a formula” Monokino’s uniquely odd-ball pop has already struck a chord with audiences across the globe. Bend or Break (Lockdown Version) came out when a music blog asked Monokino to record a live version of his song ‘Bend or Break’ during the curfew in Holland.

• Endure by Sofia Evangelina

Endure is not just a song, it’s a mentality, and more so, a declaration of survival. The song’s lyrics feature many of artist’s personal stories morphed into picturesque metaphors, so vivid that you could almost create mini-film scenes from each.

This is the first song released by 16-year-old Laura Davies from San Francisco. Hoping to hear more from her in 2022.

One of the songs Jameel Patrick released this year was called Alone, which is a song about broken friendships. Switching Lanes in many ways is a predecessor to that song. It’s about friends who turns on you for whatever reasons.

While it does give great reference, this song brings an outstanding perspective on trials of life and is for anyone who would find themselves damaged due to carrying problems for the people around them and that they love welcome to Lavender Town.

This is one of my favorites ... I have become a huge Red Nobilis fan this year.

Simple Dreams is a rock song with killer female vocals and insane shredding that was done in one take. This song is rock and roll meets metal without being too hard or soft.

This Kind of Things is a DIY project that was born in 2010, when Zézé started to record some instrumental ideas that were left in a drawer for a long time. Initially, the project focused on the Post-Rock and Post-Punk genres.

This trend was abandoned when melodies were created and a female singer was added. - In my humble opinion - an excellent decision.
