1. Selena Gomez was at least a better option than Taylor.

(2010)

Selena Gomez was my childhood idol. In 2010 she released her A Year Without Rain album. The album included our favorite hits: "A Year Without Rain," "Round & Round," and "Live Like There's No Tomorrow." In 2011 she released When the Sun Goes Down leaving us with her catchy song, "Love You Like a Love Song." In 2013 she released her album, Stars Dance. This album sent us into a repeating Gomez spiral with "Come & Get It" stuck in our head and "Slow Down" on replay. In 2014 she released For You. This album included all our previous favorites and introduced "The Heart Wants What it Wants" and "Naturally." Mid-decade she released her fire album, Revival. This album included fan favorites: "Good for You," "Kill'em with Kindness," "Hands to Myself," and "Same Old Love." In 2015 she also became the face of Pantene hair products. In August 2016 Selena cancelled half of her tour because of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression caused by her lupus. At the 2016 American Music Awards Selena received Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. In 2017 she collabed with Kygo and created the single, "It Ain't Me." Not to mention she created her single, "Bad Liar," which turned out to be everyone's song of the summer in 2017. Following that she created Fetish with Gucci Mane and Wolves with Marshmello. In 2018 she made single, "Back to You." In the beginning of 2019 she created "I Can't Get Enough" with Benny Blanco, Tainy, and J Balvin. Throughout the rest of this year she released two sneak peaks from her upcoming album we will see January 10, 2020. She let us hear "Lose You to Love Me" and "Look At Her Now," which if her upcoming album is as good as these two songs, it's gonna be fire.

2. Like maybe Rihanna?

(2010)

Beginning in 2010, Rihanna created album, Loud. This album included four fan favorites: "S&M," "What's My Name?," "Only Girl (In the World)," and "Love the Way You Lie." She received Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist at the American Music Awards in 2010, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2018. In 2011 she released, Talk That Talk. Which once again left fans with four catchy favorites: "You da One," "Where Have You Been," "We Found Love," and "Cockiness (Love It)." She received her fourth grammy in 2011 for Best Dance Recording. At the Billboard Music Awards she received Top Female Artist in 2011. By the end of the 2018 Grammy Awards Rihanna had won 9 awards and received 33 nominations. In 2018 Rihanna began her own exclusive lingerie line: Savage x Fenty. Today it's still one of the top competitors with Victoria's Secret because of it's 'all sizes welcome' attitude.

Later in 2014 she sued her producer Dr. Luke for sexual assault & battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, emotional abuse, and violation of California business practices. Supreme court ruled against the case because the rape allegations were from 2005 and 2008 and the five year statue of limitations law had run out. (2010)

In the years 2010-11 Ariana starred as Cat on the Nickelodeon show Victorious. In 2013 she released her first album, Yours Truly. 9. Someone that forever changed and inspired my generation in this last decade: Miley Cyrus

(Hannah Montana, 2010)

I mean really who else can say they've been (3) different artists in their lifetime? Miley Cyrus has successfully been Hannah Montana, Ashley O, and herself. Miley Cyrus successfully wrapped up her role as Hannah Montana at the beginning of 2010 and began to focus on her musical career. At the beginning of 2010, Hannah Montana released her final album: Hannah Montana Forever. This album holds the song that made me cry at my high school graduation, "I'll Always Remember You." In 2010 and 2011 she received Favorite Movie Actress at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. Following her role as Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus released her Can't Be Tamed album. The main hit song on this album was, "Can't Be Tamed." In 2013 Miley released her lifestyle changing album, Bangerz. This album included "Adore You," "We Can't Stop," "Wrecking Ball," and "Do My Thang." This was the start of her lost bad girl stage. In 2014 she received Top Streaming Artist at the Billboard Music Awards and her music video of Wrecking Ball received Top Streaming Video. She also won World's Best Female Artist at the World Music Awards in 2014. In 2015 she released her album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. I'm gonna be honest, I think she was on LSD while making half of these songs, but that's none of my business. A lot of people don't actually know about this album so the only song that is really known is "Dooo It!" In 2016 she appeared on The Voice as one of the judges. After a rough patch of her life she created Younger Now in 2017. This album included her once again lifestyle changing songs "Malibu" and "Inspired." In 2018 Miley played Ashley O on Black Mirror's episode, "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too." On the episode Cyrus plays Ashley O, a young pop star. Meanwhile on the show she sings "On a Roll" as Ashley O, which is still a fan favorite.

(Ashley O)

In 2019 she released her SHE IS COMING album. This album included Mother's Daughter. This year she's also sang "Don't Call Me Angel" with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey. Recently she released her single, "Slide Away" about her relationship with Liam. Just be prepared, it will make you cry.

(Miley Cyrus, 2019)

10. And finally someone that should've gotten it above everyone else: Lady Gaga

(2010)

At the beginning of the decade she received Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist at the American Music Awards and later received it again in 2017. She won her first and second grammy in 2010 for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recording. At the People's Choice Awards in 2010 she won Favorite Breakout Artist and Favorite Pop Artist. In 2011 she released her album, Born This Way. This album held the one and only fan favorite: "Born This Way." This album won Favorite Album of the Year at the 2012 People's Choice Awards. She won three more grammys in 2011. At the 2011 Billboard Music Awards she won Top Pop Artist and Top Dance Artist. For Christmas 2011 she released A Very Gaga Holiday where her song "The Edge of Glory" premiered. At the 2012 Billboard Music Awards she received Top Dance Artist, Favorite Artist, and Most Influential Style. In 2013 she released her album, Artpop. This album is known for the songs "Do What U Want" and "Applause." In 2016 she made album, Joanne. This album was home to the song, "Million Reasons." Then in 2018 her career changed forever when she was the main character in A Star is Born. Her most famous songs from the movie were "Shallow" and "Always Remember Us This Way," although the entire album is fire. In 2019 she received two grammys for "Shallow" and a grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. In total Lady Gaga has 9 grammys and has had 27 nominations.
